Bargainbird - still waiting to hear from landlord! But i've spied a few offices to rent in the village centre, so am going to call to see what rates they are going for, and see if i can come up with a good case to let us have the house. Have asked my sister if she'd be interested in living with us over summer (need ot ask OH but he loves her, so should be fine) as my parents house is getting sold and she'll have no where to go!

Have come home for lunch - had peanut butter on toast, pup is whining, he wants to go out i think, but not enough time, will have t o take him out later and get up early tomorrow to give him a walk.

Spoke too soon - Landlady emailed back to say that she'd consider renting the downstairs out to us!! There alot to consider- i.e change of use etc, but as OH is self employed we could technically rent it out as a office space and do with it what we wish it, we also need to work out rent, and what we can afford. But i'm so glad they like the idea!!! just need to do some sums :) Will probably speak to the lettings manager of my work today and get her opinion. SO EXCITED!!

Spent the best part of the day with a friend over Coffee and sorting out the world. Just what we both needed. We've both (hopefully) persuaded each other to sort through all our things and have a garage sale. I so need to get sorted out on a lot of things. Am taking the time to plan things and will then start at the beginning of July - then when the children are off school they can help too. Quick dinner tonight. Have got quiche out of the freezer, and will do with HM chips for the boys and home grown salad (well lettuce!) for me (maybe a few chips too) then a PTA meeting this evening. Right better get off on the school run. Hugs to all in need. x
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Hi Chums the sun has decided to come out and its brightened up considerably.Picked my new car up and I'm very pleased with it .The steering seems to be a bit lighter than the old one, and its got that nice 'new ' smell to it (won't last long once the DGS have been in it)But I am pleased and they even stuck £15.00 worth of diesel in for me as well which was nice
Just had a late lunch and I'm going to have a rummage around the freezer to see what I find for dinner tonight.
    Cheers everyone

    Hola!

We made it for 9pm last night, grabbed some beans on toast and did minimal unpacking and crashed.

Up at 8am felt much better for a good nights sleep in "my own" bed IYKWIM. Shoulder playing up from when I fell into the caravan 4 weeks ago, thought it should be OK by now, so have an appointment to go and see someone tomorrow. Had new BB and telephone installed via satellite, which gives me free calls to the UK, so now can keep up to date with all, and saves me 10€ a month :D Also been and shopped for fresh stuff at Lidl. Cooking a chicken atm.

Trying to get back onto the LC today, had to have what we had available last night, and this morning, so 2 crispbreads with Pate for breakfast :o  and 2 with Brie at lunch. They are Lidl Sesame ones, so hope I am not too far OOT. Tonight a few of us are going for a cheapy Chinese, so will have salad for starter and with the duck breast, and avoid most of the sauce. Suppose I need to forgo the wine too, so a Diet Coke night :o

MM Thoughts and prayers for the LO

HH Yes the weather is looking dire, can you ask around at school and see if anyone has any Gazebo's to loan you, if you put them up in the garden, at least folk can stand under them, and if BBQing will have to have a large brolly.

Just watched Murray win at Queens, and Wimbledon starts on Monday:D:D and a friend and hubby are coming to join us Monday evening for 9 days :D

Weather has been duff up to now, but has changed and we have lovely sunshine and 28C (in the shade).

Thanks for all the good wishes for the journey, it was good, but long, we made it shorter than usual by doing a bit more each day, as it is a shorter break this time and didn't want to miss a day :o You cannot believe the road, free almost empty motorways, a big change from home.

Back outside. Take care everyone,a nd J-O enjoy the new car, we always have a diesel model now.

    Afternoon All,

Didn't manage to read or post yesterday as we spent the day in Yorkshire with my parents. Went the local antique fair and then out for Sunday lunch which was lovely:D

Jannyanny its my youngest sons birthday today(he is 15) as well so wish him a very happy birthday from me and they can share the cake:bdaycake: We are also off to the italian for tea:D

HH I too am hoping for a good day on Saturday as we are having a big family party but we do have a big Gazebo to put up which was reasonable from Argos. Maybe that would be a good idea, but fingers crossed the sunshine.

So no tea to cook and haven't baked for days:o hopefully next week we can get back into a routine once the birthdays are all done

FB I also went to the charity banks with a couple of big bags of clothes. I have made the radical decision to get rid of everything that is too small or that I don't wear:cool: it feels fantastic to only have clothes in the right size and I feel I have more choice, I refuse to beat myself up anymore about what I can't wear and enjoy what I can wear so there:rotfl:NMP hope you got your wardrobe sorted

Tomorrow will definitely do a chicken curry and some baking not sure what yet.

    Have a good evening all J x

    Hi all,
Just waiting for tea,Thai chicken curry that didnt get used yesterday, just need to do some rice.I had chicken soup for my lunch that I made yesterday...going to start clucking soon.Horrible weather yesterday and this morning, its dried up now but its cold and windy. We lit the wood burner yesterday we felt so cold, flaming June eh?
I've been having a sort out in my sewing room/office,and it looks much tidier now.I made 2 patchwork cushions for my new wicker chair in the bedroom, and I'm really pleased with them, and the way the colours have gone together,so I think I might do a little quilt for our expected DGrandaughter as there is plenty left. Some I've upcycled, some left over from the bags I made.Gotta get use out of my sewing machine upgrade.I havent put the other one on ebay yet,as when I looked at others ,they didnt have many bids-I might wait till autumn.
Right,I can smell DS tea must be ready,he's not having chicken,so better go.

MM-special thoughts for the little boy x

    Afternoon all

The sun has come out :D.

I've had a nice day off so far. Spent morning doing some work for a qualification I'm doing, then had a pampering shower. Took 4 bags to the clothes bank ( but I'll never wear the stuff again and wasn't worth selling). Then popped to local shops for a wander. Got a few bargains, found a Boots glitch on makeup and got some tops in sales. Then went to lidl for some bits.

I've got day off tomorrow too......cos I'm going to see Take That :j:j

OS update - WM now on as sun is shining so hopefully will get a bit of a blowing on balcony before the day is out. Also cleaned bathroom. Oh and made some lentil and carrot soup.

Not quite sure what to do tonight, Toyboy working til late so won't see him. May just paint my nails and read a magazine.

    Have a good evening all
