Morning, off to do the school run in a mo, then begin my bread and then I'm off!

Got DH under my feet today but he will be able to help with the little one. Living room might be spotless when I finish flyladying but won't last long!

Morning folk! I am in this week and trying to make downstairs presentable before my mum friends come round for lunch tomorrow!!

sharonr, how old is your bubs? Maybe they would prefer a sippy cup instead of a bottle so that it's not so similar to the breast that it puts them off? Are you giving them expressed milk in a bottle or formula? I had to start with giving DD expressed milk and slowly mix in more and more formula because she was so fussy. I tried to put her on a bottle at about 6 months and she wouldn't. At 9 months she finally did and it's a good job cause i was back at work!! Now DS is quite to opposite! He couldn't care less where his milk comes from as long as it gets in his belly. :rotfl:

Mumto5, life does sound busy for you right now! Can i ask you about having a third child? (Or anyone else who has more than 2) You know how when you have your first it's a bit of a massive shock and you wonder where all your time went? Then you have number 2 and think "wow i had so much more time on my hands when i only had one child!" and it's just as big a shock to the system. What's it like with number 3? Is it the same? Do you look back on all that spare time you had when there were only 2 children or is it less of an adjustment now that all your time is pretty much zapped up anyway?

    Welcome to the noobs!
Just try to do as much or as little as you can. I have found that even just having the lists to aim for and remind me has helped no end! :)

Well, i'm just about to head upstairs to dress us. Weetabix has been eaten, milk has been drunk. The weather is looking decidedly awful and i have a wash basket full of dirty washing that needs doing! Can't having it cluttering up the house either if there's people round tomorrow. I might just have to leave it. Then there will be three days to catch up with on Wednesday!

  • Morning all, just dashing through before I'm off to the doctor's/aquarium place/second opinion aquarium place (it was a plec that I think didn't know how to eat the food they suggested - I'm going to a) ask what they fed them in the shop b) consider getting a holiday block to see if that makes any difference to the replacement's survival) The other fishies are thriving (or appear to be - touches wood and whistles a silly tune)..

I have far too much to do today. Playing at the club tonight as well.

Is it time to go back to bed yet?
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i HATE EDF, they are doing my head in, they still cant explain why i have a gas bill for £986 for 20 days usage and have put a hold on the account. Ive given them meter reads and there is no way i can have used that amount but that is what they forcast me using for a quarter.

Ok now, rant over :) just seeing if sky can be plugged in, if not i need to phone them and book for an engineer to come out and sort it out.

Ive also done a HHC in the kitchen, emptied and loaded the dishwasher and have put a load of washing in, still need to stip and make our bed and put the spare bed back together and strip and wash that bedding. plus a trip to the metro centre today

uropachild - re having a 3rd baby - how old are your other 2?

we had DD2 when DD1 was 3 years and 6 weeks old - DS was about 21 months at the time. All 3 were caesarians! So it was very hard work!

I had nearly a month with someone around - DD2 was born on 9th December, so reality didn't hit until the new year!

You can't pick 3 up at once - you only have 2 knees...which can make it difficult.

DD2 was the smallest baby i had and the worst sleeper - just what i needed! And in the midst of that first month was Christmas - which in those days meant visits from f-i-l and b-i-l as m-i-l had died about a year earlier! And f-i-l did nothing except hold the baby!

it was tough - and the first year was hard! which is why i ask about the ages of your other 2 children - DD1 could dress herself, which was a great bonus! If your kids are older then this would be less of an issue....

Also do you have family around who are able and willing to help? it would make life a lot easier...we never had the luxury.....

All 3 of mine are very different, and at times I could throttle the lot of 'em (20, 19 and 17) but they are very close and the 2 younger ones are now understanding of the eldest's ME. The 2 girls share a bedroom (not ideal) and are very close indeed - rows between the girls are very rare!

I had always intended to have more after DS - but not quite as soon as we did! I had an awful pregnancy with DD2 - including chicken pox! BUT I have never regretted our little blessing! We have always told her that 'nanny sent her from heaven for us...' and when she was tiny I think she was all that kept grandad going.....

    Hope this helps!

And yes I am in again this week - Mount ironmore (stems from when I was struggling with aunt flo last month - strange how no-one helps isn't it?) needs to be conquered....
