I'm in again - thanks pigpen and Toots

Been off work since lunchtime Thurs and have just been in bed or on the sofa with sore throat, no voice (never lost my voice before!), cough, headache, etc., etc. Even worried Dad who doesn't remember me ever being as bad as I was Friday and yesterday!! Hoping for a better sleep tonight as things seem to be improving.

Hugs and prayers for all, especially Toots, L-L and LW x

Will post a list when I'm back to flying x

  • I'm in, but have to declutter a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning first.

[oh, and not that I'm bragging about my balance, but I fell asleep after a long night's clubbing on the beach, sitting on the back of Kawasaki GSX-R travelling up the M23 at somewhere around 110mph. I vaguely remember coming up to the Brighton pillars and next thing I knew we were going past the Happy Eater at Hooley as dawn broke.]

I am in again this week. Thanks to all at FCC, esp Pigpen & Toots.

We did the Race for Life this afternoon, and, as predicted, got very, VERY wet!! When we got home, we had to put the heating on 'cos we were all so cold
Hopefully I will have a better week. DD2 has 2 exams left. I think I will take DD1 into town, with CV's and supervise her handing them out. She needs a job, if only to stop me throttling her!!

    Hello everyone.

Life is challenging at the moment. DS2 broke his leg on 3rd June his leg - the third broken bone in this family since my broken hand in December. He has also broken his little toe on the other foot by kicking his crutch (10th June) - make that 4 broken bones! The school are being infantile - they sent him up 2 flights of steep stairs to an English lesson. I have had heated words with his head of year along the lines of if anything happens to him I will hold you responsible.

DS1 has managed to not get good enough marks to persevere at college for a second year. He has now decided that he wants to stay on in education but has burned those boats as education won't have him. We are investigating aprenticeships for him. The realisation has dawned on him that his lack of effort for the last 3 years has finally been his downfall. It's very depressing.

DD1 has started a new job at the airport. 60% of her start times are at 4am:eek:. She's still learning to drive so I am going to have some very early mornings.

On a positive note. DS3 won a headteachers award at school:jand DD2 has stopped pulling out her hair and it is now long enough for me to put a clip in it:j.
