If budget not a constraint then I would unhesitatingly say that it is the samsung galaxy s2. Have been using out for three weeks now and am pleased as punch!0 -

Can't comment on the best, sorry, but can tell you to AVOID the HTC Desire - worst phone I've ever come across. I'm on a 24 month contract and put up with it for 9 months before effectively downgrading and going back to a Blackberry. Here to offer help and advice, and maybe take a little in return.

And here I am enjoying my HTC desire.....
Samsung galaxy s2 or HTC sensation will be my choice currently0 -
HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S II appear to be the best rated high-end Android phones on the market at the moment.
Depends what you're looking for. I like HTC Sense so would rather go for the HTC Sensation over the GSII. Go into a shop and try both and see which you prefer'The journey home, is never too far...'

And here I am enjoying my HTC Desire too! I'd be looking at the Sensation.0

Haha, I did expect people to disagree with me I think I was maybe a little ignorant to the Desire's capabilities... but the thing that bugged the hell outta me (and I know its the same for most smart phones) was the constant need to charge the phone, dim the screen brightness, and do everything possible to squeeze the most out of the battery that lasted little more than a day on very basic usage.
The other issue I had with the Desire was the lack of internal memory and the limitations therefore of apps - especially as many are not able to be moved to the sd card, and when they can you then can't update them - you have to go through the faff of moving it back to the phone, updating it, moving it back to the sd card.
In saying that I do miss the Android system and will be looking at what Sony Ericsson have to offer when its upgrade timeHere to offer help and advice, and maybe take a little in return.

My husband has HTC Desire S and internet pages and videos open very quickly (he is using 3 simcard internet permanently, even at home he does not use Wifi because internet is fast).
I think this phone is quite resilient because it has aluminum case and gorilla glass display (not sure what exactly is 'gorilla glass' but I read it is good for the phone).0
