    I've never had a problem with Cdwow, regardless of the voucher i've used. Everything has appeared after a few days. I managed to grab 2 of the £5 capital one vouchers and both of the cds I ordered appeared!

  • I feel sorry for those experiencing problems with cd-wow. It is very frustrating when a company takes your money but doesn't deliver in the time they say.

    I have recently ordered 3 things from cd-wow. A book I ordered was late being sent. i emailed them and have to say it was a surprise to not only find a prompt reply but it wasn't an automated message either. The book then arrived a few days later. (I'd had problems with another company trying to get this book so when they said it was a supplier problem on this occassion I did believe them.)

    Next, I ordered a dvd. I ordered this on the 3rd Dec and it arrived on the 13th. Unfortunately the dvd case was bent and I could hear the dvd rattling about inside. I actually blame the postman as I heard him shoving stuff through the letterbox - very rough handling, but I emailed cd-wow anyway (aswell as complain to Royal Mail) to advise (just in case the inside of the case was already damaged) and again I got a prompt, personal reply saying that if the dvd was damaged I could gladly return it for a replacement.

    Finally I am awaiting a dvd I ordered on the 8th Dec. To date it has not arrived and to be honest I am worried that it may not arrive in time. I may just drop them an e-mail to check. (I think it is disgusting that they don't let you know if an item is out of stock and won't be here for xmas. A courtesy email would be very helpful.)

    On the whole I have found contacting them by e-mail, using their email/contact us page very easy. Good luck all.
  • Just had my email to day Dispatched. Looks like they have had a full weekend of packing orders to get them all mailed today.

    My Prison Break DVD turned up this morning !!

    Still not had a reply to any of my emails, or the feedback form.
    Didn't get a dispatch email either ?

    ................. only one fiurther problem

    The cover is all in a foreign language !
    Not sure what my Nephew will think of that !!
  • Don't know if anyone can help me out here - I've always been credited with pigsback points for my purchases on CDWOW, even if I've used CDWOW vouchers (which I always do!).

    I placed an order last week, and after querying the fact no piggypoints had been added, I have been told I cannot get points for transactions using a CDWOW voucher code. Anyone else had the same problems?

    I think ive heard that this does happen.not sure why though.
    I've only ordered off them this once,and i will not be again!
    ill stick with play.com and maybe hmv but saying that im not impressed with
    them at the moment either.
    I ordered a pre release game (zelda twilight princess) which was released on the 15th of December months ago and although i understand they didnt know if this was the right date at the time i ordered ,it was released on that date and it now states it will not be with me for xmas.I specifically ordered it from them as i trusted they would have it with me for xmas.These companies pee me off.promises promises promises!!! and you never get what you want.

    I ordered a Nintendo DS game on the 11/12/06. I received an Email today stating that it will be SHIPPED to the UK on the 22/12/06 .....from where???????. Then dispatched on to me on arrival to the UK. So i may get it in the new year.....no good for xmas!

    I again used the £5 voucher. I must admit there service has been fairly ok in the past, however on this experience and reading the earlier posts, i'll be carefully considering them in future.
  • Ive been using CDWOW since they started up, and I must say they are going downhill very fast. I think the problem is the business is growing but their manpower isnt. I had bother with them last year, I ordred Texas' album Red Book on pre release three weeks passed and I had nevered recived it, I emailed them and they said they where still waiting on it from their suppliers, same with Robbie Willaims and then the final strwa I ordered a dvd and it never appeared, 3 times I emailed them I eventually got a response plus a new dvd.
