Everyone assumes the sellers are getting stitched up left, right etc. but it's not always the case.

I have FB of over 1300, mainly for purchases (long time member), 100%+, yet I have accrued 2 strikes in the last 12 mths, due to lousy sellers.

One didn't set up her PP account correctly 'was waiting for funds to appear in her bank account'. I asked her to check her PP account and accept funds, after 10 days and several more emails, I warned her if she had not sorted it out by the end of the weekend, I would cancel and purchase elsewhere, which I did.

the 2nd from a seller who listed her address as being 20 miles from where she was, did not respond to my emails asking when i could collect, didn't answer her phone after I requested her info from ebay, didn't respond to texts, and again, after 2 weeks, I purchased elsewhere.

I guess i should've done something about reporting them, but i couldn't find how to in the help section, but they managed to stitch me up.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

You definitely should have reported these sellers to ebay, got the strikes removed and (if you paid) left negative feedback. I've always found eBay (and paypal) far more prepared to hurt the rogue sellers than the rogue buyers!

If in doubt and you can't report on-line, give ebay a ring. Your messages would prove your honourable intentions to pay for won items and prove that the problem lies with the sellers.

The most damaging aspect of this is that you (undeservedly) now have 2 non-payment strikes. Most sellers will have set the most rogorous buyer requirements, which amongst others, is:

"Block buyers who: Have received 2 unpaid item(s) recorded on their account within 12 month(s)"

In other words, you have now been blocked from buying from many sellers until one of the non-payment strikes times out. If you are a buyer, this is why it is crucial to fight any unjustified non-payment strike.

I've done this in the past and won - easily. [The local seller was a chancer who offered pick-up on the listing and after the auction, demanded £10 delivery for them to deliver an inexpensive, pocket sized item to me by hand ... about a 5 minute walk away!!!]

NPB is best way as the case is closed, you get fees back and she cant leave feedback. It will also stop her bidding on some listings, like mine, if she as done it before. If she was there to email you a minute after winning - she was able to stop the bid or ask you to cancel it before the end.

If she does pay and then punishes you with feedback - that is against ebays rules and the feedback SHOULD be removed.

Before i close a NPB case, i always quickly leave feedback saying "bid for item and did not pay" to warn other sellers and help them see a pettern if he/she does it again. Then i quickly close the case - as it prevents then leaving feedback in return. They could probably have this removed if they tried - but most don't realise.

Grrrrr.....It's idiots like this that put me off eBay. Shame you can't neg her straight away & teach her a lesson. At least block her from bidding on anything else of yours in future then coming up with the "oops, silly me" excuse for not paying afterwards.

In fact, why not do us all a favour and give us her ID so we can all block her?

Sorry, in a crappy mood today. :(
