If it was it would be a 103" HDTV
  • OH MY GOD HOW RUDE ARE THESE PEOPLE.

Just had a word with customer services:

Me "Hello, I would like to check the order status of my item please"
    Woolworths "Is it the TV"
ME "Yes, I have ordered a Sharp 42" HDTV"
Woolworths "LAUGH - You won't get it"
ME "I'm sorry, but I have not recieved any e-mail or confirmation from yoursleves to say that my item should be canceled. The only way I found this out was logging onto the website".
Woolworths "There is a pricing issue on the website, it's being sorted out - you won't get the item though"
ME "Well I had ordered the item at 11:00am today, and this was canceled at 11:45, however the item is still showing as £150 on your website. This is very misleading as I had ordered this item with Amazon, and canceled the item as I had found this with you at a better price".
Woolworths "Well your going to be pretty stuffed for christmas then - you won't get the item".
ME "I'm sorry, but what are you going to do about this situation. I had faith in Woolworths to provide the item, so I had canceled this elsewhere. I feel pretty cheated that there is no explaination".
Woolworths "Well you won't get it, the website is being adjusted now".
ME "So there is not anything you can do to compensate my loss".
    Woolworths "LAUGH, No.".
ME "Well frankly I haven't found you to be very helpful at all, I will be following this up with watchdog and the sun newspaper".
Woolworths "LAUGH well you do that, we will not honour the price".
    ME "Goodbye"
Woolworths THEY JUST HUNG UP THE PHONE!

I can't believe they can be so rude to customers, just because of a pricing error which is THEIR fault!! I hope these calls are recorded.
What does everyone suggest we do? I tried going to the shop to pick the item up however there systems are down and won't be back up until 4:00pm this afternoon apparantly. Maybe a good time to order it off the website then have someone standing by in the store to pick it up (if they have it in stock).

  • Cancelled, how sad, and I really thought this might come true, 1 42" plasma dad, happy christmas, now its an 8" portable and like another user said many many pages back

  • All I am going to say is woolies profits, woolies profits, why should we remotely care if it costs them money.

I have never had a conglomorate contact me to tell me that they have sourced the product a lot cheaper and they will be reducing the price.

Yes they should honour the deal (secretly cheesed off ordered and paid for 3 early doors) ha ha ha ha ha

yes, a token £5 voucher or something. we have still spent our time placing an order on their site etc and got no apology for the mistake.
That's ridiculous....get over it and move on to the next bargain!!!!!
  • I just checked online and my woolies account shows as my order being cancelled - not event the courtesy of an e-mail :-(

    Next time.......

I didn't order, but YES they SHOULD make it up to people, not because of the pricing error but because they are cancelling orders with NO explanation and to rub it in the price is STILL £150 on their site, regardless of the fact that no TV's can be ordered at the moment because they all just go to a blank page.

Hopefully the story will go in The Sun, Woolworths will then hopefully feel like total tw**s and compensate people for being so unprofessional about the whole affair.[/QUOTE
They've hardly had chance to rectify it.....you're being very unfair

Unfair? They've had hours to sort it out. It's VERY easy to update a website, it only takes a moment.

Oh well, I ordered one, doesn't look like anyone will get one.
Never mind, off to donate some presents to the local charity shop now, sure they will be happy.
    Happy Christmas everyone.
