Certainly does the A from 2004, but 2001 was the start date for petrol engines to be read with any code reader, although most could be read before then.
Check with the vendor, he may only have listed the popular cars he gets asked about.
You'll be hard pushed to find any the list the Zafira A nowadays.

a generic code reader will not read your vauxhall on this year
of course a paper clip might work but you would need to go to the vaux forums to confirm
it cost me £400 approx to read these age vauxhalls with sykes pickavant acr4 s/h a new pod and im fairly sure the later lead but i might be mistaken and the early lead would might work
look on the bay if you are interested
or ask and i will dig the gear out for the numbers

Well today I decided to clean the car out whilst waiting for the thermostat and bits to arrive, completely cleaned all the upholstery and thankfully it no longer smells like a dead wet dog. I also tried (and failed) to blank off the EGR. I have removed it and its definitely not been blanked already. I cut up a can (it was only going to be temporary) but when i put the EGR back on the tin can being so thin it was punctured by the protruding bit off the bottom of the EGR. I took some pics of the EGR to see what people think, but I really need a proper gasket to blank it off I think.

When I got home the stuff had arrived including the socket I ordered off ebay, well impressed as I only ordered yesterday and normally everything I order takes 2 weeks to arrive when I am waiting for it lol. This was also included in the box with the receipt, I presume its some sort of gasket but I really don't know what its for as it doesn't appear to fit the thermostat??

Finally the coolant from Autovax doesn't say if its ready mixed or not, the last lot I bought from Halfords was ready mixed so could just be poured in, does anyone know if this is or isn't?? The label on the back just says refer to instruction manual of your car which isn't helpful, if its not mixed what ratio should I use??

Sorry for the long winded post lol

The gasket is a thermostat gasket, but not the one for the thermostat you have looking at it.
Mine is the same engine, it had no gasket, it had a rubber ring in the casting, and I used a gasket compound on it.
Anitfreeze isn't premixed, use 3.5 litres to give a 50% mix.

I'd flush it out while it's apart anyway, the part number on your receipt is red long life antifreeze, 50% is to -37C, 55% is to -45C

40/60 or 50/50 (I take you meant 40% antifreeze SB to 60% Water?)

I thought the gasket was for the thermostat but there is no way it fits lol. there is a rubber seal on the inside of the thermostat housing, do you think I really need the gasket compound and if so will halfords sell it as i have to go there in the morning anyway.

Yes, doesn't look fun lol. I already have all the glove box out as I had to remove it get the damn stereo out as I didn't have the keys for it, the glove box needed scrubbing inside anyway so it was an ideal time to do it. I still think I have to remove a few more bits to get to it yet though lol
