no programming needed on this year
i just though it could be the maf playing up once warmed up but this would usually put the light of gloom on
Ideal need to find a solenoid at the breakers now.
No warning lights at all, they all light up correctly before starting up so I know the bulbs are all ok.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
whats it running at temp wise on a normal drive, if its low the cold start solenoid will play up and over fuel the car, that makes them Judder a bit, you need that temp constant around 85-95Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. this morning moving around town in no traffic the temp gauge rose slowly as expected and sat just below 90, so i would say between 85 - 90. It only seems to rise when stationary where it will go over 100 to say 102 and the fan kicks in bringing it back down to between 85-90 but it'll keep going up and kicking the fan in then fall etc when stationary. Hope that makes sense.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
Apart from changing the thermostat for piece of mind, this sounds pretty normal for a Vauxhall. They do appear to let the temp (at least on the gauge) go too high before the fan cuts in. On the poor running I'd suspect the MAF as they tend not to put on the eml, instead the eml will come on after some time (well, it is a vauxhall!) as other components go out of range trying to adapt to the faulty MAF. Easy to disconnect (that will put the light on) and when you then drive it, if it is back to normal, you've narrowed down the culprit.0

Cheers i'll have a check of that one aswell after I change the thermostat, having problems locating the engine code so far as its not on the slam panel plate (around the bonnet catch).
On the plus side though I have now fixed my central locking issue, and what a job that was repairing the loom from the pillar to the door plug not a lot of room to work with lol.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
It didn't change as far as I can remember.

Thanks for that as that is a really good price, local motor factors have quoted me £70 + VAT and they don't have it stock but can get it in next day, i'm happy to wait a few days for less than half price.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

You'll need new decent jubilee clips, and make sure you put the little pipe on before you put the housing back, as it's nearly impossible to get your fingers in to get it on after.
You'll need a tube of instant gasket as well, and new anti freeze.0
