Problems posting. Any ideas??

I'm having trouble posting replies to threads. It happened mainly in the groceries board, but this is my second attempt to post this thread here so it may be happening site-wide, I don't know.
To reply I click the quick reply button and type my message into the box. I then click to post and either I am taken to the page saying my message is too short (it's not) or to the advanced reply box. Both ways I lose my post. Today I was also taken to this page on clicking reply:

Random much? I'd not visited this thread before, or at least not recently.
When I tried to post a new thread here before I was told I had to wait to make another post (like I'd already posted <15 secs before).
Any ideas please?
Oh, and another odd one - I always seem to get the thumbs down icon too even when I don't choose it.
I'm using Firefox if that makes any difference?

I find it useful to select and copy each of my posts before I click 'Post Reply', so that if something does go wrong, I merely need to try again and paste it back.
