I was held for 35 minutes....I have switched today and they asked for my meter readings. I was able to enter the electricity but not the gas either online or via the automated phone. I have now been told that my electricity switched today but my gas not till the 14th July! !!!!!! - a dual fuel account and they switch on different days - would have saved me a lot of time if they informed of this in their letter asking for the meter reading!

Originally told that switching would occur for both Utilities on 6th July but suspect thats what happening with my account as well -I put in the electric reading (finally!!) yesterday - but still no info. re gas supply - spent 30 minutes on hold yesterday @ noon(as per earlier poster's suggestion!) before giving up - web site account page appears to change very slightly every day, like somebody is logging in and adding the info. piecemeal!
OH WHY DIDN'T EON OFFER A COMPETITIVE TARIFF?? :(

Been away on holiday and came back to a 'LEGAL ACTION' notice. Tried to phone them several times (on hold for 43 minutes, on hold for 28 minutes and currently on hold....22 minutes so far).
I am getting extremely fed up with this company as they have no regard to customers at all.
They have completely ignored my letters, I get an automated response to emails - 10 days they say!!
Think it is time to change to a better company as these people dont seem to take anyone seriously.

I'll be glad when December arrives so I can change suppliers. I am currently on an online tariff with EDF, but since December I haven't been able to access anything online due to having an "old" account number! After I asked them how I should give them my meter readings I was told they could e-mail me a reminder and I could ring them!! How does this add up to an online account, apart from the obvious discount. Luckily I have a phone app which allows me to enter my readings. I agree with brewerdave that EON were a hell of a lot better.

Oh and they managed to maximise the 90 day transfer period for my gas account, so I was sat on the standard tariff for 90 days.

    One word - Useless!

I'm wishing the same and beginning to wonder if I should still go ahead? I've not been able to register online yet and not had chance to phone.
I've not had any requests for meter readings yet.

The cooling period is now over and I had a phonecall from Eon last week but they couldn't compete with the EDF tariff unfortunately:(

Sounds like it might be a nightmare move though. I've just had a 'we don't want to see you go' letter from Eon.
If I decided to stay, would I still be on the old tariff I had (Saveonline3), and would there be any comeback/charges with EDF now the cooling off period has passed?

Anyone know? Any Eon reps about, please?

You shouldn't have been charged the standard tariff.

Many other threads. Do a search on EDf and my posts and you will get more detail.

I'm pretty sure it was the full 90 days, or very close. I'll have to check my bills.

It is stated in the T&C's that you will be put on the standard tariff until you're registration is complete.

They don't seem to treat it as a true dual fuel account as I have 2 direct debits - one for each energy type.

Also it will be interesting to see whether there are any references of inputting meter readings online, as I can't access it online. Can they be in breach of their own T&C's?

I'm currently in the process of switching over to them from Southern Electric and had to make contact with them for the first time yesterday.

After two hours of trying to get through after 5pm I gave up and attempted once again this morning. Finally, after 40 minutes I got through to a human being... only to be cut off and forced to wait a further 30 minutes to resolve my issue.

I have since found it easier to go on the EDF website, pretend I'm looking at their tariffs and, when the "do you want to speak to an assistant?" pop-up box appears, speaking to them instead.

Otherwise, I think I have more chance of EDF Energy communicating with me through smoke signals than I do via the telephone.

It does say that but following my representations they agreed that it was all baloney and waived it. ;)

Have the read the other threads which gives more detail?

Thanks, I will have a read of the threads when I have some time over the weekend.

I've just checked my bill from 9th May and it seems I was on the "Dual Fuel Gas Tariff" for the reading period 20 December 2010 to 26 March 2011, which by my calculation is 97 days!! I was then billed for the Online S@ver Version 7 Dual Fuel from 26 March.

I think I may be making a call to EDF next week!!

In fact, after further inspection my electricity was also on the Economy 7 Electricity Tariff DD from 5 December to 26 March before being moved to Online S@ver Version 7 Economy 7 DD. That would make it about 112 days!!!

Also, I got a letter for electricity and one for gas dated 26 March to tell me I had successfully registered on Online S@ver Version 7.
