I cannot get one station to tune in. It's sat next to my £2.99 analogue clock radio which works just fine.
I am very disappointed as my daughter asked what I wanted for Christmas as she didn't want to get me rubbish and I told her I really wanted this.
As far as I'm concerned it's the biggest pile of sh1te around and I would rather have had £23 worth of socks.
Our Radio reception is fine, you did unroll the aerial wire which was wedged into the hole on the rear??0 -
Of course.thunderstruckruinedmylife wrote:Our Radio reception is fine, you did unroll the aerial wire which was wedged into the hole on the rear??
I have tried in four separate locations in the house also and it just makes a noise like a hoover.0 -
I have trouble receiving one radio station on mine, but I also have trouble getting a signal for this station on the works radio. My Dad also has difficulties picking it up on his Sony bedside radio. Maybe the radio station just has a week signal?
I got mine last week, but the battery in the remote seems to have died already. I've only used the remote a couple of times. Has this happened to anybody else?0 -

Did you have to take out a piece of plastic that separated the battery from it's terminals on the remote??
If that plastic wasn't in place when you had it, the buttons may have been pressed down in the box and could have worn the battery out.0 -

Yes I did have to take out the piece of plastic. I guess it's just one of those things. Nevermind. It's not a bad little alarm clock radio at all for the money. I have a shiny new video Ipod to play with now too, so I am a happy bunny:p0 -
Thanks v much for posting this, son has just bought himself an ipod nano off ebay, and with his Christmas money has bought this for himself. None in local Argos stores so had it on home delivery, arrived today and is great for the price, speakers, radio, charges ipod and looks neat. One very happy 11 year old, thank you0

Would anyone be so kind as to tell me how it's possible to change what you wake up to (ie: buzzer, radio or iPod)? I have left my manual at home (I'm now at university) and I have pressed every single combination of buttons possible and still it won't change from "buzz"!
Thanks in advance0 -

I found this http://www.acousticsolutions.net/manuals.asp free manual download, not sure if it has the model you've got though.
Good luck

Definitely a duff unit.zenmaster wrote:I have tried in four separate locations in the house also and it just makes a noise like a hoover.
I tried it in a completely different location and managed to faintly pick up Classic FM dow amongst the hoover noise.
This remained on whatever frequency I selected, so I guess the tuner is not working.
Now they haven't got any more in stock
Can I insist on a repair?0 -

Thanks sparky61. I couldn't find the manual on there so I rang Acoustic Solutions and they told me that it was a direct import (or something similar) so only Argos offer support for it. Rang Argos and they obviously didn't have the manual so it looks like I'll have to wait until I go home, unless someone here can help!
Hopefully someone has done this and can help!0
