It definitely works with the new 2nd Gen Ipod, I bought one today and the ipod nano is playing through the speakers as we speak.
In the box the Nano came in is a little white plastic insert to push into the hole. It clips in and out without any effort and it fits the new 2nd gen nano perfectly.

Just for info these are popping up everywhere now. "true" retail price seems to be around £40 (not the £80 argos claim they were). John Lewis do a goodmans badged version (also in black) for £39.99, and Asda are selling a version (forget the make at this moment) for £49.990

There isnt an adaptor for 2nd gen. You can get it to work but it is very very fiddly and hardly seems worth it. I returned this item because of that:T Smilings good for you, it releases happy endorphines in your brain and makes your boobs grow bigger :T
