It definitely works with the new 2nd Gen Ipod, I bought one today and the ipod nano is playing through the speakers as we speak.

In the box the Nano came in is a little white plastic insert to push into the hole. It clips in and out without any effort and it fits the new 2nd gen nano perfectly.

I second this, got both for my son for xmas and the adaptor that comes with the nano itself fits 100% perfectly and he's over the moon because he didnt have a clue about them!

I've got the 30Gb Video iPod, and it works fine with that. It doesn't have a pre-made docking insert like the other types of iPod, but there are additional instructions and a set of properly sized rubber pads to adapt one of the other inserts. All you do is pull the rubber pads out of one of the other docking inserts and replace them with the Video iPod ones, then it'll fit perfectly.

    Really confused now
We bought this for SIL for her 2nd generation 2G Nano and she can't get it to work properly with her attatchment she got with her Nano - she has to wiggle it about to get it to charge or the speakers t work properly but don't understand how it works for others - do you reckon maybe we have a faulty one???
    TIA

Got one for my sis, who has a 2nd gen nano. The insert that comes with the nano itself fits fine, although I can see how it might be hard to get back out :)

The only thing I saw was that the nano needed pushing onto the dock port thingy quite firmly for it to work properly, more than I would have thought, maybe that is the problem your SIL is having Clairog?
  • I have an 80Gb Ipod (5th Gen) and this works perfectly.

Sound quality is great..obviously not a BOSE system but plenty enough for a £22.50 purchase.

The USB charging is a great Xtra too.

I got a 2nd generation nano and it works great even without the adapter thing, I just slot it in, ok its a little loose but apart from that its brilliant
  • Just to say that I got one of these for Xmas and I am well impressed with the sound & build quality for this price.

The only (minor) fault I found is the backlight is a tad bright when you switch your bedroom light off, but it can be switched off completely and has 3 brightness settings. Overall a great bargain for the money!

I've had my 3rd generation Ipod for about 3 years now and in recent months has been sat in a drawer. I'm glad that this has given it a new lease of life!!
  • :T Thank's , just brought this for my Nephew, who is over the moon. He want a set of speakers for his Ipod. Auntie haas got lots of browie points. Cheers :T :p
