Hiya Guys wanted to update u all on this and ask for some more advice please!

The 30th september is the 16 week deadline for my claim. However my friend who also has a claim against Lloyds put in a cheeky phone call to them yesterday after only 8 weeks and was given a settlement figure over the phone so I decided today to do the same.....

Firstly I was on hold for 48 minutes before my call was answered. "Nadine" who did answer my call was as much use as a chocolate teapot.

My case has been closed down on the 14th of this month and a letter "should" have been sent out 2nd class on this date. HOWEVER Nadine couldn't give me any further information because the letter was apparently sent out by an automated system which hadn't attached a copy of said letter to my file yet!
She said there really wasn't anything else on the system at all that she could tell me and to call back on friday if I haven't recieved my letter.

I don't think this sounds at all promising. What are ur opinons please? x

I would perhaps call again as I called Lloyds on 30/08 and was told there was nothing on the system regarding the status of my complaint. I was asked to call the next day when the person dealing with my complaint would be in.

I called the next morning and was told that the outcome was there and my complaint was being upheld. I asked when this information was put on my records and was advised 27/08 so it might be you will get someone else who can look and possibly give you the information you want.

    Good Luck!
  • Hiya guys.. again I'm looking for more advice!

I took the advice above and called back on thursday. I was told my claim had been shut down in error on the 14th of september and had now be re opened on the 15th by a claims investigator called Dylan. Apparently Dylan has requested some more inofrmation with some aspect of the claim and its really got no further than that.

The bloke on the phone asked if I had more than 1 claim active and I said no. I then explained that I had made a claim on the policy which was later rejected and he asked if that money was still being recovered from me. I said it wasn't. I had it in writting that they weren't going to recover the money from me and he said that this was probably the problem.

He said he would send a priority email to Dylan who is dealing with my claim and that he would call me back to fill me in on whats going on. He also stated that their dealine for dealing with my claim was actually the 7th October.

Alas there has still been no phone call but my anxiety levels are really thru the roof incase they knock back my claim then chaseme for the money they paid in error.

My family really are in a very poor finanical situation and I really don't have any extra to pay out per month. I'm really very worried about this and feel physically sick. I'm wondering if anyone can offer any words of advice?
