Thank U Amersall. I'll post it off and live in fear for a bit :-)0

I agree with Amersall, you are currently paying ppi and you can't make a claim on it, when they rejected your claim the ppi should've been stopped, they neglected to do this too.
As amersall says too you will be better off even if they take back the money they paid on the claim you had last year.
Go for it and keep us updated. Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
Good luck, although i dont think you need it, when you get a response please post on here to keep us updated.
You should win this as the bank wont have a leg to stand on as you were not eligible for this ppi in the first place, dont forget to put a copy of the letter they sent you saying this.
Dont forget to look for other reasons you may have for mis sell to go with that one, if you dont have any more then dont worry it is just best to make sure.0 -
Yes, that is another reason for mis sell, they are still taking the ppi and the sickness part is no good!!!.I agree with Amersall, you are currently paying ppi and you can't make a claim on it, when they rejected your claim the ppi should've been stopped, they neglected to do this too.

Do you have life insurance seperate from the ppi?.sexyvicchic wrote: »Thank U Amersall. I'll post it off and live in fear for a bit :-)0 -
I was actually told that taking the PPI would reduce the APR of the loan! I now know that taking PPI has no bearing on the interest rate offered.
Lloyds called me today out of the blue re my PPI (I haven't submitted any forms yet). They wanted to bring me into branch to cancel the existing insurance stating it was useless to me and to offer me some sort of life cover. I already have life cover elsewhere. I stated that I was looking into reclaiming the PPI and she stated that the branch would not be able to help me reclaim back money but I should continue down the route I'm on. She was also able to tell me that the advisor that "sold" me the insurance no longer works for the bank.
I don't know if any of this is a good thing or not.....0 -

What a load of old tosh!! they dont want to pay a mis sell, you have life insurance elsewhere, so the ppi is no good to you on two counts! dont let them cancel this ppi get your form in for mis sell.

Put what you are trying to complain about and tell him what you were told, and say you are disgusted that you are not able to put a claim in for mis sell with Lloyds and ask why they are not taking complaints now for mis sell, if you have the persons name that you spoke to then this will be great.
Lloyds are doing claims, but you are a novice to ppi
ARENT YOU?
;) and took the ladies word for it!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:
just think how many customers had this line spun to them :mad::mad:
and accepted this and walked away :mad::mad::mad:0 -

If you can remember details of who and when the call was received, keep it for records, not that i'd imagine you'll have problems as amersall says the bank don't have a leg to stand on.
As for life insurance they shouldn't be trying to stop one insurance with selling another one, personally I think this is a bit of a cheek.
Carry on with the reclaim. Thanks to all the competition posters.0
