New tyres - rear of car wobbles

Got Kia Sedona (big 7 seater people carrier).
Anyway, got new tyres on the back and since then I'm sure it looks
like the back seats are wobbling around. I can also feel vibration
through the car.
This seems to happen when I reach 50-55mph. Go faster and it stops...
So went back to garage and they rebalance the wheels. No difference.
Went back again and they changed the tyres.
Its better now but not brilliant so it cant just be the tyres. Any other ideas?
I was thinking of maybe putting spare wheel on in case one of my wheels is out or something (although wouldnt the garage have had problems balancign wheel?)

Swop wheels front to back and see if the vibration moves with the wheels0

as vaio says
maybe they buckled a rim as tyre fitted and they dont want the liability so trying to fob you off
or their balancer needs a new bubble0 -
check to see if they are 'directional' and if so they are fitted correctlyI

What make of tyres are they?
How many weights have they put on, (inside and outside) to balance them?0 -
Have they been balanced? did you see this being done?
At some places, the lazy tyre fitters just shove a 15g weight opposite to the valve..... To be fair this very often works, but not always.
Also, id check they've not damaged or cross threaded a wheel nut.... Those bl**dy pneumatic wrenches should be banned!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Is the Sedona RWD, if so could be wear in the propshaft UJ's or centre bearing, oh and check the diff oil level.
If it's FWD ignore this post..;)0 -
That definetely sounds like balancing weights. It seems that when the tyres were fitted they were most probably improperly balanced.
It is amazing to see how much difference those little things make.0 -
I once had a Xantia that had a key on the hub that needed to locate in a hole on the (steel) wheel.
It was possible, for me, at 7am in a rush for the train, noticed a rear puncture and changed the tyre double quick, except I didnt notice the key/hole and the wheel was on wonky and was causing the rear end to shake. I realised my mistake once I'd missed the train.
Just wondering if Sedona wheels had a similar thing and that the tyre guys didnt notice - twice. Unlikley but, who knows.0 -
