Wow
Lovely makes and congrats on your new baba0 -
You'll find she'll prob be able to do it right handed anyway. That's what I did. Us lefties are pretty ambedextrous (sic?) when it comes to learning off righties. I knit right handed as that's the only way I could be taught.midnightraven3 wrote: »my oldest daughter is left handed, my gran taught her how to knit (she was right handed) they found the best way was to sit in front of a mirror, and thats how she learned
she tried to teach me, but i still cant knit, both my mother & grandmother, fantastic knitters as well:(
suppose we cant all be brilliant at everything, when i find what i'm brilliant at i'll let you know!!!:rotfl:Married the lovely Mr P 28th April 2012. Little P born 29th Jan 20140 -
I second jemb - I'm naturally left-handed but I was taught to write right-handed, so I write with that hand. I do most other things with my left hand but I can use either.0

Well i'm back. i'm really into craftying mode. Baby is in a good routine ( well as much as a 10 week old can be !) so from about 7pm each evening i have time to myself. so while hubby and i watch tv or dvd i am creating.
heres a few things i've made.
noel garland
xmas decorations
hanging heart

mini love hanger
more decorations.
i've decided to bite the bullet again and start selling. so i got myself insurance on monday. by tuesday night i'd set up ebay pages, new email, and a facebook page and wow. i've had 5 orders already  . feel bit out of my comfort zone as i'm a more or a meet people do a craft showtype person. so at the mo i'm craftying as much as i can. i'm thinking of doing a craft show before xmas but all the local ones seem to be booked up already.0 -
jcr16 - love your felt pieces...............how did you fix the 'noel' garland to the ribbon for hanging ? I've done all my felt 'christmas in a box' decorations for son and grandson and not sure whether to just add a piece of raffia or ribbon and let them work it out or whether I ought to fix it to something myself.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I love your things, you are so so clever.
I'd also like to know how your hearts are attached to each other in your garlands. I'd love to have a go at making something similar for my daughters room but I'm a complete novice!0 -
thankyou ladies.
when i make the garland i use ribbon and sew it all along the back of the hearts. i sew the ribbon just on the top edge as this way i have found the garlands drape better.
heres some more makes from last night

Excellent jcr16 glad i'm not the only one who takes craft projects to hospital. When our latest grandson arrived, 3 weeks ago, I had to take mum dad and bump to hospital at about midnight for a check on baby. Knowing it would be a long night I quickly packed my bag! With the latest knitting project in it. Whilst waiting around, 2hrs, I got tons of knitting done. Thankfully baby was fine and he made a safe arrival 2 days laterNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
