Cashback of over £50 has just been declined as returned/cancelled/amended order.I am sitting here looking at the flipping TV. There was absolutely no returning/cancelling/amending of my order whatsoever. I'm not a newbie. I clear cookies. Why are companies who do this allowed to still continue even when it's brought to quidco's attention?
Thanks Joseph but I did email you and you replied , about 10 minutes before I posted my gripe on this thread.Your response was the generic it's not our fault etc etc but the question still remains as to why companies are allowed to get away with not keeping up their end of the bargain?Think that's a pointless waste of yours and my time to be honest. You've already looked into it , you said, and apart from offering me £3.50, ie 1% of my spend there's nothing else you can do, you said.I just wanted the rest of the MSE forum to know what had happened between me, Quidco and Currys/PC World. You're not going to change your mind and I'm not going to change my opinion.

It's a shame because cashback is a good idea in principle.
The problem is that over the years retailers have found ways to evade their obligations while taking the advertising boost which promotion on the cashback sites provides. It is absolutely no coincidence that the higher value cashback is where most of the problems occur.
It is not necessarily Quidco's fault in the sense of bad intent on their part - and you would hope that if you are not paid then neither are they (where's the proof in this shady process?) - BUT it is absolutely Quidco's fault that their "arrangements" with retailers are not sufficiently binding to ensure consistently good results.
I'd love Martin Lewis and his team to prise the lid off this whole industry and tell us what is really going on - because, in the absence of transparency and regulation, consumers are increasingly the victims of legalised mis-selling.2 -
Thank you GreengageYou said , what I'm sure a lot of consumers, are thinking, in a much better way than I could have done.Appreciate this forum letting me get this off my chest.0
