How much do pay a month on electric?

4 bed semi, 3 adults, 2 working different shift patterns, 1 'student', usual boys' toys (x box, 2 x PCs etc) & household essentials but minimal immersion due to solid fuel back boiler: we changed to a keypad pre pay - £20 pw builds up 'credit' as it does 8+ days, every so often we can skip a week.0

We've just moved into a one bed flat, and it is tiny and we were quoted £47 a month, so had to set up a direct debit accordingly.
Its basically 3 rooms if you include the bathroom. Heating is gas.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I live in a two-bed apartment that only has electric and we now only pay an average of about a pound a day, and there are two of us ! We haven't had any heat on since Feb or March and only have one or two lights max on during the evening. Have a 40" LCD tv on most of time. Find it great !!0

Thanks Pennywise2
I've got one of those monitors, i've never used it I must hook it up. I think you have to clamp it to the main cable near the meter, and that's so awkward to get to, i need to pull out the Fridge Freezer.
I forget now but i got mine from BG or Manweb, there was a thread on here to say if you were getting benefits you just had to ask. I think i've seen some of the power companies offering them free to try and encouage you to switch supplier. Maybe someone here may know.

Gillyx: that sounds awful expensive if your heating is gas, you should get a price from one of the others.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

OMG, how strange to have the curtains closed all day - but I guess that's a matter of preference. They'll probably grow out of it...
I sometimes think that teenage boys inhabit a twilight world, spending so much time on their games consoles and computers that they only emerge to forage for food and then crawl back into their lairs. I knew a few like that when I was growing up, their social skills were very poor and they were always pale and sickly looking. We used to pity them! :rotfl:
Golden Anemone, never mind the electricity, you're lucky the house didn't burn down with the iron being left on!!! Why was he ironing in his room anyway? You electricity bill will be much reduced now anyway!

I know it is abit, but because they don't know anything about our usage they said 2 people use on average £47 worth of electricity a month. I've not long moved here so I'm abit unsureI think we're using NIE, who else is there?
