One thing worth mentioning for those who think this is the answer, Yes Zopa can be trusted, probably the only ones who are.
However, they are very strict as its not there money they lend but other external investors.
If youve been turned down by your bank already you are very unlikely to get a loan for Zopa.
Best Policy in my opinion if your actually upagainst it and noone willing to help without you paying through the nose, then change your lifestyle as thats the most likely cause of your debt anyway. Sell your crap start again, stop smoking, boozing, have a few breadline months for the sake of a better Financial future0 -
Your Enquiry Re: Best 4 Loans Limited trading as Unsecuredloancompany.net
Licence No: 624230</SPAN>
Thank you for your email dated 08 June 2011 concerning your enquiry in respect of the above. I apologise for the delay in responding.
Due to the disclosure prohibitions under Part 9 of the Enterprise Act 2002, the Office of Fair Trading (the OFT) is only able to disclose the following information which is on the OFT Public Register to which I can confirm:
Best 4 Loans Limited holds Consumer Credit Licence number 624230. The licence authorises this company to carry on the business of Credit brokerage and Provision of credit information services, excluding credit repair. Should you wish to confirm this for yourself this information is available from the OFT’s consumer credit register. You can access the consumer register which provides details of applications for holders of consumer credit licenses, both current and past at:- www.oft.gov.uk/consumercreditregister. I should mention however that </SPAN>a consumer credit licence is a legal requirement for certain companies under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, but it is not an endorsement or recommendation.
As a general point the OFT is unable to provide advice regarding individual traders or to recommend a particular business.
I hope that you find this information useful
Yours sincerely
David Annis

Pyro-note
Numbers mean nothing check them out everywhere first see there history, befor eyou dive especially those who charge upfront fees, especially those who set up a dd without doing anything other than talk to you. Zopa is the right way round yes they have one but you pay agfter getting the loan not before.0 -
Did they give you the name of the loan provider they set you up with, was it one of there affiliates or did they broker you to someone outside of there company.
Hello Pyronaut. I was in a simialr situation with this usecuredloancomapny ripoff outfit, and I asked them who they had placed my (NONEXISTENT) loan with and the guy on the other end of the phone told me its a sackable offence to give out the name of the company. What a crock of sh*t............0 -
