Hi, I have recently enquired about a loan with a company called best 4 loans by contacting them through one of there website – unsecuredloancompany.net
However they did mention that there would be a fee rather than leaving it until the end, and of late I have herd a lot of bad press about firms which ask for an upfront fee.
That said they did specify that I could look at all the details and agreements for the loan prior to paying the fee and the fee would only be deducted from my account in the event that I accept the terms and conditions.
Still I’m am untrusting, is there any information you have the companies mention above to see if they are legitimate/good, and what protection I have should anything go wrong other than any agreements signed.

Also do you know of any companies you can recommend for relatively short term (not payday), unsecured personal loans who doesn’t apply an admin charge and wont charge you an extortionate APR.

Bit of both really its not the best, but should be improving after getting away form the Halifax Bank, they really screwed me over with there 'policy's'.
Glad you said that tho im always funny about online lenders, have been offered others but like you say they either need some else to lay there house on the line or want over double in return for there investment, had a feeling this was too good to be true.
Im just looking for a small loan of 1500 to get myself the payday loans and sort out a few thigns that need addressing. It's just getting someone to look past my cerdit score and realsie that once there off my back im 600 a month better off so 100-200 quid a months not a problem.
Anyone any opinions on the log book loan, or small none bank high street lenders names escape me at the moment.

I hope you haven't already given them your bank details.
They often come out with this flannel about not paying until the end but nonetheless withdraw the funds immediately.

If you have given them your bank details, keep a good eye on your account, the money will be coming out.

Glad you can see the dangers people in your position face, there is a huge market for telling people the things they want to hear, a simple empty promise is all it takes for people to hand out their bank details.

Credit Unions are your best option, but you need to save with them for a short while first.

Been looking at there details and what not, the Licence numbers all seem to be ligit, and there register with office of fair trading. Which means that should anything go wrong or not be on time i can do something about it easier than most places.

Also, i checked into there affiliates and one of them is a pay day company, which it states that in the event you are successfull you may be contacted with an offer by our payday loan affilate, but this is in addition to the loan.

Also, they have asked for no upfront bank details, i will only have to provide these once i am happy with everything, loan copany agreement etc.
Not that im not listening to you lot as i still plan to do more checking as the offer theyve made beats most others hands down.
Want to see what the off of fair trade has to say about them.

But genuinely all seems to be on the up and up for the moment, which leaves me wondering how many folk have posted bad comments on knee jerk and then had it sorted or those who have been put off, or kicked off after they've taken the fee and found they've been rejected because something isnt right on there app.
Or simply not posted after they're all set to say actually it works

Hard to tell with these sorts of things if your been fobbed off or if its genuine. So for those of you who have delt with this company before, did they give you the name of the loan provider they set you up with, was it one of there affiliates or did they broker you to someone outside of there comapny?

Will let you all know what i find out, if i go ahead or not, and if it all comes up good. company's do change policys once they've been found out so maybe they've had there fingers slapped, i shall see

Hope not, Checked on the public register and there on there with trading stadrards under the company no shown on the website so dunno.

Not asked me for my bank details at all yet, and have made me an offer which works out about 11-12% Apr including admin fee.

Fair enough most banks are down in the 4-6% bracket but they wont lend unless you have the money to do it yourself anyway.
So a little more confident but by no means convinced.
Also they dont / no longer provide loans with those who require a Garantor.

They did mention that they have 4 affiliates on there board who will lend money to customers, in the event that none of them will lend, they will broker you to someone who is willing to pick it up, so im curious about those who've posted as to who they were told would sort there loan, was it yes one of your affiliate will take it, or sorry we are unable to do it but we will put you in touch/have contact with another company etc

The "admin" fee is what they will probably ask for next?

Yer they've already asked about that, told them im not doing anything until im 100%, so i challenged them ona few things that were said on here and they didnt deny there is some bad press about them, and gave me some flannel about why it could be like that, then continued on to tell me to check there details online, trading standards etc.
So i did, trading standrds has them and there alt/associate company names, which if you google there basic address all are registered to the same place and its on there.
But in additon to all this i have contact a couple of fraud company's to see if they have any previous or on going problems with them giving them the company details and the terms and conditions.
If that comes back clean im gonna have to make up my mind as ive done everythign i can think of to check them. So providing that comes back clean im goign to see what i can get out of them in wirting regarding success level of my application, and anything else i can think of which will play in my favour should anything go wrong

If you let them have your bank account numbers your as mad as a badger but don't say we didn't try and help :)

If they have them already, expect to say bye bye to your 59.99.
