How to resign

You are going. What power does she hold over you now? You can tell her she is the nastiest cow alive and there is nothing she can do unless you let her. Now you are going there is no reason to let her.We don't have an 'in house' HR team, although I do have a union rep, would this be something that they could deal with? The annoying thing is, I told my bosses boss today and she was really happy for me! Why can't my boss be like that
I can't sit still, every hour that goes by I'm getting more an more terrified. This woman is HORRIBLE. She's made the last three years hell, but now I can't even get excited about leaving!!
Any nastiness form now on, just tell her to stop it and behave like a decent person. And if she reacts to that, just laugh.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Just remember that even if she decides to give you a bollocking or whatever, you're getting out to go to a job where you'll be happier & better off - she can say whatever she likes, but it doesn't change the fact you're getting out, so instead of being nervous walk in there knowing YOU took charge of your life & made it happen. Keep the letter short & functional, don't go looking to stir the pot before leaving & realise that the last 3 years have been a character building experience, if she decides to get nasty during your notice period keep the head & calmly inform her that she can make it stop at any time, pay you in lieu of notice & let you out of there immediately with the tagline "or what are you going to do - sack me?".Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0

Thank you! My advice to myself is to grow some b*lls. Thank you all so much for your advice, I'm a little bit less scared now. Only a bit less though.0

Really, given what you wrote in your opening post, you ought to have more self respect than to put that in your letter. And you should go to your exit interview and say that you have left for one reason and one reason alone, that being your supervisor. Don't get drawn on the detail, just say that you have said as much as you are going to say and that she is their problem.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Sad thing is, without thinking about or focusing on her, I'd love the job and I love the rest of the people I work with- there is no other person I don't get on with in the building. I do see what you're saying though I might edit that last bit out, being entirely honest I copied this one offline!0 -
I'm terrified. I'm really, really terrified.0
