TPS parking charge notice - Wrexham

Hi
I've been reading some of the threads on here about Car Park Scams - I too received a poor photocopied "PCN" in the post from TPS at the weekend following a recent journey to Wrexham where I parked at their Central Retail Park - the Notice seems to fit the same description as others referred to on here. eg "2 pics, time in, time out, breach of parking T's & C's, prominently displayed signs" bla blah blah.
I was fuming when I opened the letter, demanding a £50 penalty fee - I never saw any prominent signs that said it was a private car park.
I guess the general advice will be not to pay it and ignore them. It's just so annoying that these !!!!!!!s can operate like this.
Has anyone else had a similar experience at Wrexham Retail Park.
Cheers

Correct, ignore is the best policy - regardless of where it was "issued".
See this thread for an idea of the letter chain https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/22148030 -

Is an illegal penalty with no prospect of a court win for ppc, ignore0 -
I am on this letter 7 from TPS
Am a little worried about getting taken to court but think I'll risk it0 -

TPS have never done court. They're up in Perth anyway, so would have to travel miles anyway.0

It must be really confusing for them to try and correctly enforce England and Wales civil claims in Scotland......Signaller, author, father, carer.0

Thanks fb1969
I will continue to ignore the cheeky swindling sods - I'm on "scam" letter no. 3 at the moment.
I'll keep you posted - it's good to swap notes on this subject

Unfortunately too many are paying which has two problems. One it keeps them in business, and two it stops them attempting court action were they would nearly always lose, so putting them out of business!!0
