I find it interesting that my post on this thread yesterday morning has mysteriously disappeared :(

As has the post allegedly from the garage concerned

    How very strange.

Mine too. I guess because I'd quoted a small piece of the response purporting to come from the firm concerned.

Is it me or is this totally blown out of all proportions?

Last year I called my local tyre place to get 4 new tyre's ordered and to be fitted the next day, I was assured they'd be in by "tomorrow lunch time" I took half a day off work and drove the 15 miles to the tyre place only to find they're not been ordered in.....

I was VERY unhappy about this!!!!
So wat did I do???? did I kick up a fuss? did I sue them? did I run around slagging them off all over the internet?

Nope.......... I drove home, made a cup of tea, warmed up a jam doughnut and chilled out on the sofa.

OP, btw.... If you'd taken a day off to get the car serviced, you could have done it yourself for about £50 with a few very basic tools in less than 2 hours (oil draining can take a while if it's cold).

Even better tip! doughnuts arrive at supermarkets frozen, they can be refrozen and thawed out later without any loss of quality. So when they're on two packs for one, eat a few and freeze the rest.... 20 seconds in the nuker, couple of minutes to stand and omnomnomnom fresh (ish) doughnuts again :p

Doughnut saving tips in the " Motoring, Public Transport & Cycling" forum, whatever next? :rotfl:

Any doughnuts that arrive at a supermarket frozen, are really not worth buying.

Yes I was sat on it too, didn't make any sense with the "gaps", :wall::wall:

Can't help thinking it would help in these cases if the post #Number did not auto fill, ie you could see where the gaps where, rather than try to make sense of nonsense.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
