I never wrap stocking presents. My DD has strict instructions that she plays with the gear in her stocking for at least half an hour before she gets us up.........thats why im putting a little puzzle book, pens etc in so she will be kept amused :D

  • Thanks for your replies, it's interesting how we all differ. I had thought what I did was the norm !!
I like the idea of wrapping all bar one cuddly toy and leaving it poking out of the stocking, that's very cute and just what my 3 would enjoy. Thank you Trow !

We have 2 large 'bundles' of Santas pressies sitting on a couch at each side of the living room:p We don't put them under the tree as this is where all the wrapped pressies are from friends/relatives. Santa is a lazy begger and just dumps his pressies on the sofas!:rotfl: :rotfl:

You are hit with the impact of all the pressies there at once, you don't take in everything individually. We then sit and go through the stocking which takes ages as it has loads of different we bits in it. Then we go through Santas pressies one at a time, sometimes opening things to play with, sometimes leaving them until later :) It just depends how they feel. This takes a couple of hours as they each get distracted by each others pressies and get all excited by what each have.....so do we!! :rotfl:

We then sit around the tree and open one pressy each at a time and I take a note who they are from so we can phone and thank them. This year I got a wee tip to write on any toy pressies the name of the person who bought them as my boys are starting to read. It means during the course of the year they will be able to still see and know who got them that present for Christmas.

    I love Christmas!!!:p
The world is full of Pink Fluffy Clouds......you just need to open your eyes to see them:)

  • I've been told by a close friend I am mad if I wrap the stocking presents, they should just go in as they are.
I always wrap them, it doesn't seem right not to, what do you all do ?
Am I just wasting time and paper ????

Definitely wrap - you can't feel an guess if they aren't wrapped and one look into the stocking would reveal the entire contents.
