I've got 3 vantage a/cs with Lloyds and haven't been able to access my accounts online since last weekend because when trying to upgrade their website they b****ed up the internet banking service for customers using IE browser, and it's still not working. So right now, Lloyds is not the best for me.

Could I be exceptionally cheeky and suggest Firefox?

Not very techie minded. Can I have two browsers at the same time? I don't want to lose IE; is there any disabling/enabling involved?

Lloyds premier account is a credit scored account and is not offered to everyone, despite it being a fee paying account.

Would my application succeed if I asked for my account to be upgraded to Premier when I am using £10 or less of an unplanned overdraft for 2 working days?

If you have an upgrade option on your internet banking you have in all likelihood been pre-approved.

With an upgrade button showing, probably yes.

Using your overdraft bares little regarding this kind of upgrade. I use mine regularly for flexibility when travelling with work, knowing it will all be paid by the end of the month.

Over the last 2 years I have used between 500-1000 of my overdraft per month, but I pay in over 2500 a month into my account and it is always in credit for around half of the month depending on how much travel I do with work (no company credit card facility).

During this time, I have been able to increase and decrease my overdraft to as much as I have needed, got a credit card through online banking, upgraded my account and have pre approval for a loan and premier account showing on my online banking.

I can safely say using an OD with Lloyds so long as account turnover is high and you put your account into credit each month has no detrimental effect to your internal score.

Have to agree that having been with Lloyds since 1975 I can't complain....there has never been any c**k-up's (like I read other people have with their banks). I have found that the "Mayfair" private banking staff are very good, particularly my Investment Manager...but then again never lose sight that I (you/we) are paying for these types of services and accounts.

I have been with Lloyds Bank since 1983 and have no complaints at all. I do everything online. They never bother me and and I never bother them. They are probably the easiet bank to get loans and credit cards.
