Hi all, been keeping away as have had a chest infection for what seems like ages so been doing no housework whatsoever.
    Hey there Twinnie! *High Fives*
I was just on the verge of plucking up the courage to pm you, as I wondered where you'd got to!:D
You take care and get rid of that infection, OK? Then you can see about easing back into housework.

I scored 4, which, considering I neglected to clean the laptop screen (well, SOMEONE couldn't have put it on the lists ), is pretty darn good!

Anything's possible - one of my current meds - hydroxychloroquine - is supposed to come with a sight test, but I've never been given one by the hospital; I mentioned this a couple of years ago to the optician where I get my specs, and now they haul me in for a test every year. So far, so good - no problems (other than age and injury related ones) as yet.;)

ETA Just tried that thing Jojo posted and scored 61. *gulp*

3 ebeast dollops sorted ready to fling.. :D

I need to prioritise cash and don't know what to do.

I have the money for the gutter bloke put by and £700 'left over'..

I am not buying a twin pushchair.. I am getting the toddler seat for the monster pram and using that to save some shrapnel which wil be more than covered by my paypal money.. I am not getting the cot until after christmas when it will be needed.

I have the plasterer to arrange, the decorator... these will be about £300 each
I need to pay the solicitor for transferring the house over but the deeds aren't back yet to be signed.. this is £400
I need 6 new mattresses.. also about £400
The girls room will need paint and carpet.. paint will be next to nothing but carpet will be about £300 with underlay and fitting.

So.. do I order the mattresses now and resave the cash for the plasterer and decorator... Or do I buy the mattresses once everything else is done when I will have carpet to buy and 3 new beds too...

Once the girls room is done I am going to start driving lessons.. I wanted to do it for years so I will.

My opinion, which counts for absolutely nowt, would be

    Get house deeds
Get structural stuff done on house
    Get plastering done
    Get decorating done
Do carpet (so it isn't ruined by plastering/decorating)
Get mattresses & beds (ditto - and if they have been needed for more than a week, another couple of months won't hurt)
    Do everything else.

ETA: 'Tis done, Valli - and don't worry, your name has come up in Dispatches as I wouldn't dream of stealing your thunder for the original idea... :D

the exchanges on the thread today really upset me and I didnt feel equipped to reply - it really puts me off posting when I think that others think we are unfriendly and unwelcoming - i thought we were friendly and certainly dont think we are cliquey! maybe I am being naive.

Please don't worry :) I am fairly new (a month or so) and I have found you all very welcoming. I think this is a case of misunderstanding peoples intentions, and is obviously a very rare occurance.

Pigpen - I hope your day has improved

Mumof2 - I hope you feel better soon

I am not too sure what that test was all about :o but i scored 28 - so not too bad.

Well, as predicted, flying was negligible today. it rained at the Teddy Bears Picnic a bit, but not enough to put us off :D I managed to do 3 loads in WM (2 dried in TD, 1 still to do) and that is about it!
We didn't get the sofa bed, as it is too wet & we are going to have to put it on the roof rack :( We are going to try tomorrow.
We don't have anywhere to put it anyway, cos my daughters don't appear to have a floor anymore. i heard the hoover earlier, so I looked in (full of hope :)) but still no floor!

I am going to bed now, & hoping to catch up tomorrow. Even the dog hasn't been walked today :o

Hugs & spoons to those that need them
