Welcome wouldbe - Im not sure there are any Gods around.... but plenty Goddesses :D

but we do have a few Rulers upon high who try desperately and do a flipping good job of trying to kick us out of our slovenly ways...

Post one has this weeks list, but for goodness sake dont try to do it all now! Your home didnt get in a state overnight, so you cant expect it to look like Anthea Turners place overnight either.. Just aim for Level one each day and try to declutter for 15 minutes here and there.... the trick is, once youve cleared a particular area, to keep it that way!

Good luck and dive in... x

Jo honey if you have a pile of stuff for the animal charity shop/kennels/ centre perhaps they might come and collect from you?
you are doing well honey - the emptying and sorting takes time but its worth it and keep trying to clear your feet as you go ie tip/ CS/ friends/ ebay etc
have you taken the flat you like - is it definate now and when can you get the keys ?
dont worry about doing things that will have to be done for handing the keys back - it will be easier when there is less stuff in the house.
depending on who is helping you move and doing the furniture like the chests of drawers - you could just tidy them up and leave them in - the guys that did mine just took it as it was without emptying - in fact I filled it!!!

wouldbe.... welcome to the thread and madhouse - some of us have been where you are at some time or other - the main thing as Jo said is not to try to put it all ship shape in one go - the more routines you create the more chance you have of keeping it tidy and under control - try to be systematic - good luck with your plans
    Peace will be mine

    Hi everyone,

Am feeling much better now. Thanks to good old antibiotics and some rest.

Flying wise, I am slowly getting back on track. Not caught up with the lists, just about keeping on top of dailies and WM.

*RANT ALERT*I have just had to shout at some children. I am totally fed up with them. Seriously thinking about phoning the police. I feel bullied by them, and their parents don't give a toss when I have tried to speak with them in the past. I know that they are only children but they have no respect whatsoever for other peoples property. It's got that way, that I don't like gardening where they play cos I am the bad guy, and TBH the plants are battered. Football at the moment but it's nearly time for Wimbledon - deep joy...*END*

WELL!!! I called my current estate agent today to find out how much notice I had to give etc and they told me that when I give my notice, they take the first day as the rental date and the calender month starts from then. So my rental date (the day I pay my rent) is the 28th of each month so the earliest I could be out would be the 28th July. The flat Ive seen have said they wont hold it till they take my notice on the 28th July and want to start the rental asap, so the only way I can really take it is to have the two properties for a month, which I cant afford.

So I asked my current Estate Agents if they had anything in the village and they have one coming up in the same development as the flat I want now! It hasnt even gone on the market yet as they are going round to appraise/value it next week. It would be available from the 1st August, so she is going to ring me back as soon as its valued but reckons unless its like Buckingham Palace on the inside, it wont be any more expensive than the one Ive just seen. Soooo I need to keep everything crossed thats the case! And it gives me a few more weeks to clean out my crapola :D

I know what you mean about the 'clearing as I go' - my sis took her stuff and the 3000 bags to the charity shop yesterday so they have gone. Todays clearing, Im going to do a tip run in the morning after the school run and then the Dogs place/CS in the afternoon - then I will start on the next lot of clearing.

When I emptied the linen cupboard, I bagged the stuff I want to keep but know I def wont use before August and put it back in the linen cupboard, so when I come to move, the bags can just come straight out...

I was wondering about the chest of drawers etc... Mines is a wide one and REALLY heavy even when empty, so I might not get away with that, but its a great idea for S's room!! :T

    xxx

Can I just say.... I HAVE EMPTIED ALL - yes ALL of my make up/toiletry drawers... :D (I should probably be embarrased that its taken so long, but hey - :D:cool: )

ok Jo honey - thats a real shame and I am sending you a big squishy hug BUT ..... can i suggest that you keep up the momentum because you will be well and truly organised for the next one - pretend you still have 4 weeks and then you will have time for the cleaning after that? i think they are being a bit mean not holding it but maybe its not menat for you and this next one will be right - maybe it will have nicer neighbours and a better view xx You could have warned me about your last sentence - i nearly fainted - knowing how much make up/ toiletry you had that was some clear out:rotfl: well done - you are a star - bet you feel good at getting clutter free:T:T

Boddy hugs and prayers for your friend Margaret - I hadnt realised there was a risk with theses ops - I do hope they can sort things and she pulls through unscathed. (((hugs))) for you as well xx

    (((hugs))) for max

dont worry listless if you pasted from a document the it doesnt carry forward the crossing out and other stuff - cant remember the word for it!!!! having a senior moment - I am a bit stressed so just ignore me:rotfl:
    Peace will be mine
