The e-mail I got ;
''Good afternoon,
I regret to inform you that due to excessive demand, all quantities of Tesco Pure Sunflower Oil 1 Litre have sold out in our UK stores.
Upon review of our pending online orders, we could see that you had placed an order including this item and are contacting you now to apologise in advance that we will be unable to provide the product for you as part of your order.
If your order only contains the Sunflower Oil your order will be cancelled on the day of delivery however, you can amend your order before then in order to keep your slot.
When the product comes back into stock, it will be at the full price and we cannot honour the promotional price of the product when ordered, please be aware that you will be charged full price if you have placed an order over the next three weeks when the product will be back in stock''
I had this email, delivery tonight. Don't they have to supply another oil at the same price, under their terms and conditions? Especialy since they have not acknowledged any mistake, only that its out of stock?0 -
Only 3 bottles left in my store, but scanning at £1.30 so left them.0

Went to Didsbury Tesco tonight. They actually have a working self-scanner so, full of anticipation, I took a bottle of oil to it. It was only after it scanned at £1.30 or something that I noticed the neat row of eight bottles of oil on the floor under the scanner. I added mine to it! Can't imagine why so many people wanted to scan oil...
Olives all scanned at 75p but SEL was still 24p for the black ones, so I bought ten packs and after a bit of huffing and puffing, during which I had to remind the SA about DTD, I got £10.20 back. Am a happy bunny. Also got two cartons of the smoothies and the glitch worked.
Am rather enjoying these little forays into DTD-land. It was just a shame that there weren't any sausages on the shelves...0
