aldi do good, recycled ones in diff. sizes, the trouble is that I have now run out and they haven't had any in stock for weeks. I think I had my last lot from wilkos. I got a real bargain the other day, my local greengrocer was selling industrial strength large plastic sacks, 5 for 20p, with the proceeds going to the pdsa, needless to say, I bought all that he had, they are brilliant, I have cut them in half and they will last me for months, they are the sort that logs come in. I also work in my local council offices and can be found rifling through the recycling bins looking for packaging materials,:p why pay for stuff when you can find it for free?

  • I buy from Wilkinsons as I don't have anywhere cheaper nearby :(

They work out at about 70p for 4, and sometimes they have a deal on.

Stationary box are usually good. Bigger ones, like slightly bigger than A4, Ive seen them often do 2 for 1s on packs of 5! So you got around 10 for 3 quid!!

My local asdas are very dear for them!! Was something like 3 for 5 quid!!!

(All prices being for the "slightly bigger than A4" ones.
  • Asda do the cd size ones at 3 for 75p and the dvd size ones at 3 for 96/97p.

i bought loads from staples in newport recently, if you bought 3 or more packs from each size there was a price reduction, and then even more if you bought 5 or more packs. So i stocked up and bought 15 packs/150 envelopes altogether, 5 packs each of 3 different sizes.

size 0 (210mm x 170mm) should have been £3.23 for a pack of 10 (32p per envelope) but buy 5 packs or more and they were £2.48 each (25p per envelope)

size 1 (255mm x 200mm) should have been £3.89 for a pack of 10 (39p per envelope) but buy 5 packs or more and they were £2.99 each (30p per envelope)

size 3 (330mm x 250mm) should have been £4.92 for a pack of 10 (49p per envelope) but buy 5 packs or more and they were £3.78 each (38p per envelope)

I also find https://www.svp.co.uk cheap but i was desperate for envelopes when i went to staples and couldn't have waited for a delivery.

    They sell:

    100 x a5 padded envelopes for £8.74 - 9p per envelope
    25 x a5 padded envelopes for £2.49 - 10p per envelope

    100 x midsized padded envelopes for £10.99 - 11p per envelope
    25 x midsized padded envelopes for £3.14 - 13p per envelope

    100 x a4 padded envelopes for £13.98 - 14p per envelope
    25 x a4 padded envelopes for £4.00 - 16p per envelope

they also sell bubble wrap, boxes and tape etc

but you also have to pay for delivery which will obviously add a few quid
  • why not save money & use cardboard, simply cut up as square from a box & wrap it round. It gives the same protection as a jiffy & costs nothing except the tape you use to seel it.
