yeah, when i first heard about simply-fone i only had a Three contract and so tested it out. and as i found out that Three charged me for the calls, i ripped the crap outv the customer services representative by TELLING her that they did not mention it in writing in the contract or on ANY document on their website. she was confident that they did mention it in their "Special Numbers" category of their charges document on their wbsite, and i got her to open it there and then, and she made a complete !!!!!! out of herself because there was no such mention. I told that if it isnt in writing, i'm not paying for the calls, simple!!! and she had no choice but to refund my calls and even give me a bit more credit on my account.

Hi all, received the following reply from 3 after emailing them complaining that the 077449 number is to be charged as a mobile number and not a personal service number:

As per your email below, this is a personal numbering service put in place by the user of this number. As per Ofcom, this is being charged as a mobile number, but will not be included in your free minute allowance. This is an income number, where the user of this receives a small payment for every time someone calls this number, and hence the non inclusion of this number. Please find out from the user of this number if there is an alternative contact numbers. In some cases due to what network the personal number is set up on, there will not be a charge, but these numbers are charged across all networks. These will continue to be charged as a mobile number. If you have any further issues, please call our customer services line on 08707 330 333.

So although they agree it's to be charged as a mobile number, how can they justify not including it in my free minute allowance??

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
    Hi Gaahmad,

Not sure about the msg u recvd from 3, they state, "This is an income number, where the user of this receives a small payment for every time someone calls this number, and hence the non inclusion of this number."

So correct me if I am wrong, but you don't get something for nothing in the world, right, so "OBVIOUSLY" Orange, T-mobile, O2 etc etc are making money, i.e, generating an income from every mobile number in existence, or they would be classed as charities.. so what are 3 talking about when they say, "this is an income number so not included in x-net minutes"".

    pls clarify anyone?????

Just had a lengthy conversation with 3 billing. They refused to budge. They have updated their price plans and state that 07744 will be charged for. You can download the PDF from the 3 web-site. (http://www.three.co.uk/BlobServer.srv?blobdir=ImportantDoc&blobfile=05014+price+guide.March05v2_0703.pdf). Can someone mail me the s-f email please?

yep. they seem to charge now.
if u complain u sometimes get credit for these calls but it seems to be up to individual cust service staff & their ignorance.

probably not worth shouting about it, as if too much noise is made orange/02 & others moight also charge...!

i've just taken out contract with lots of crossnet minutes with orange just to use this s-f service 07744974363 for our calls to india.

its a money saving thingie found by el geniusio Martin Lewis :money: that allows u [using crossnetwork minutes on yer mobile] to make international calls at no cost from mobiles! :j

if u dial 07744 974 363 [website https://www.simply-fone.com number says today 07744 97 3333 but other one works for me] & at prompt enter int number & # .................your call is free.

i use it from orange, o2 and my GF has t-mobile.

we save about £70 per month calling International numbers.
    well done Martin. :rotfl:

    I've used this s-fone 07744 974 363 service a few times now on my 3 phone.
Sometimes you hear a female recorded message saying you will be charged at standard rate, & so I dropped the call. On other occassions you hear the male recorded message from s-fone & so I continued dialling the int'nl number, does that mean Im now gonna be charged for the int'nl calls I made using me Free minutes ?
