Afternoon all
Absolutely beautiful day hereand I had an awesome day at work too
we took the work kids to a local-ish beach for the day. We walked for a bit round the coastline and found a tucked away spot out of the wind and set up camp. We built sandcastles, played in rock pools, played footie/rugby, sunbathed and ate sandwiches
(you'd have thought they were all 5 year olds, not 18-21 year olds!). Everyone was in a fab mood and we all thoroughly enjoyed. Got a nice tan too
We finished a bit early as well so double bonus!

freudianslip/saveaholic - I got some in Ikea last year for about £2, makes 4 lollies.
I'm in the mood to do something tonight but not sure what. Knowing me I'll prob just crash out on sofa cos I've been in sun all day! But I may see if anyone fancies the pub. Toyboy is on his way home from his Dad's in England so prob won't see him til weekend.
OS wise - made packed lunch, not sure what else will be done!
Off to sit on balcony for a bit
Have a good evening all

Afternoon all
Welcome to all the newbies
MIA yesterday was too busy to manage any time on the computer.
Glorious day and washing is drying on the line (in fact I am going to bring some of it in a little while)
Bitsy Poor little bird......I found a little blue tit the other day and DH buried it under the firethorn it would take a brave cat to get under that. (((((((((Daisy)))))))))
NPM .... I would be fuming as well.
I would do as Marie suggests and write a stinking letter (on toilet paper just to show what you think of the lot of them)
I would also phone the HR department and give them the third degree and tell them in no uncertain terms that you do not see the point of their stupid interview because it is due to the stress of the job, beatch manager etc that you are leaving.
As for them getting your name wrong that is a disgrace.
(Human Resources - I hate that term whatever happened to the Personnel department  )
Stick 2 fingers up at 'em girl and get on with more important things
((((((((Hugs))))))))
Well I am off to get on we are going to a neighbours BBQ tonight and I want all the washing in before then.
xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Bitsy thanks for the Daisy update; good that she's been able to use the litter tray, and is showing an interest in things.:o
NPM I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.... sounds like your former employers could do with.... I don't know whether to say "lessons in communication" or "a good kick up the posterior".:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

NPM Definitely agree. Strongly worded letter needed.
However, the NHS isn't all bad. Saw the Dr last night. Its not a bacterial infection. So I was referred for an ultrasound. Dr's appt was 1700 last night. Hospital rang me today and I have an appt. at 0900 Tuesday morning. I like my GP:DGC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
Those of you who want to make some ice lollies I highly recommend these. They are fantastic although I suggest you have lolly moulds that have a stick going further up the lolly as the little short ones I bought from ebay (which turns out were from £land
grrrrr) you can't pull the lolly out, just the base comes out. Didn't stop us eating them though

Evening All
Weak signal and limited battery life on PC has meant my absence. Anyway, with the sunshine, managed to charge up via the inverter whilst powering up the caravan battery via solar panel (ways and means)
We are parked at the side of the Avon & Kennett Canal in the middle of the Caen Lock near Devizes. Hence walking. Can certainly recommend the Thursday market in Devizes.
Enjoying the sunshine and social side, though the damn wind is now creeping back.
Take care all - normal service will resume on Monday, for a few days before we are off again!!

Got a letter today from Matron...saying I have to go to a review meeting for my sickness as I have been off for over 2 weeks....it is on 16th June....my last contracted day is the 22nd! It is to discuss the sickness and how they can facilitate my return to work! !!!!!!???
She has put in another letter dated same day acknowledging receipt of my resignation letter and has said I need to hand my uniforms and name badge back in to personnel. That is all....no sorry you have had to leave, thanks for the last 22 years of your life.
Oh and the icing on the cake is the fact that she has called me Vicky in both letters which is not my name:eek:....just goes to prove you are just a number these days....they dont even know your name:(
I will not be going to said meeting...what they going to do...sack me?
She has warned in the letter I may be put on a stage one formal record...like I give a rats !!! about that now?
It has sooooo confirmed I am best out of it!!!!!Loulou2010 wrote: »:j:j:j:j:jmy carrots have suddenly decided to grow :j:j:j:j:j0 -
Just a quickie, Hi and Hugs to all
NPM - I would write and say you are referring this to the ICO as you feel there is a breach of the data protection act as you have received a letter intended for someone elseother than that, smile and think I am well out of that!
