    morning all!

beautiful day yesterday here and more to come today:j shame I'm at work although I do get the chance to sit in the garden at work for a cuppa so its not too bad.

Have had a bit of a tidy through this morning and the WM is on - got 2 lots to do. Off to work at lunchtime. Need to pop into town to the bank and to get my haircut first.

I'm making tuna fishcakes at work for dinner - I'm responsible for feeding everyone on our budget of £200 a week - sounds a lot but most days there are ten people per meal to feed! But I manage it with careful shopping. I also do the menus as I'm interested in healthy eating more than most people at work.;)
We shop at Aldi and Tesco(only local supermarkets)plus occasionally drive the ten miles to Morrisons as the service users like to use the cafe there. Luckily there's a few of us that can cook and we make some nice puddings and cakes to go with the meals. When we were inspected they said the menus and food were very good:A:D

JackieO - happy birthday to Henry x

RR - hope your Mum has a good weeks respite and that your Dad settles in ok x

have a great day all, am looking forward to a weekend off:j

    take care all x

bargainbird - have you visited the imperial war musuem? if not i highly recommend it! i have about 6-7 times and still love it :o

Sorry to hijack but I second this-it's FANTASTIC! I'd visit weekly if funds allowed lol!

Good morning all, it looks bright and promising here. I've loads of housework to gt through this morning, plus tearing around after Little Miss who laves a trail of domestic devestation behind her, as only toddlers can! My parents are visiting this afternoon and am hoping to have gotten the animals finished, jobs done and to and from town before their visit so really ought to crack on!

One more coffee then I'm definitely on my way!

    Have a good day everyone!

    Morning everyone

Gloriously sunny and a bit warm here - woohoo! :j WM nearly done, washing up done  hoovering downstairs to do, then I'm making a picnic for the babies and me - we're going out with some friends to a new local community farm venture to pick salad! :D

The de-cluttering continues - last night DH did the big lawn and I cleared half the kitchen worktops and cleaned out 2 cupboards so I could put stuff away properly. The house is slowly starting to look "normal" again!

Kedgeree for tea, fruit salad for afters, then back to the de-cluttering.

Hope you all have a good day, hugs and kisses to all, extra cuddles for the poorlies and fed-ups.

    A xo

DS is going out to the rugby club awards night tonight so he'll get dinner there..this is excellent as it only leaves Hubby, DD and me for dinner tonight. DD and I prefer cold things and salads anyway so I'll turn out the fridge for odds and ends, make salad and the Friday bread and that's it...no cooking tonight. Hubby will moan that it's not Proper Food but I'll molify him with some chick pea and bacon salad, which he does like. And that will sort out the weekend lunches too. I really can't be bothered with a supermarket shop today. Glorious day and I'd rather be out in the garden.

I've done all my essential dailies today already (make beds, put away laundry, put wash in, tidied kitchen, put BM on) so my feet are clear. Off to get the mower out now!

A very quick one from me, popping round to a friend for coffee and playtime in a mo. Been chasing cat round house with a half dead baby bird this morning :( Poor thing is now in a box waiting to die in peace :o Lovely and sunny and warm here, hope it continues this weekend.
    Tea tonight is spag bol.

Hugs and spoons all round, have a good day OS or not. Try and catch up later.

    Morning all,

Glorious here,as JG says -at last!.Bedding out on the line.DS1 was off on the stag do trip at 4.30 this morning so whipped it off quick once I was upWe had the usual hunt the passport panic at 11.30 last night  Swore blind it was on his desk and I must have moved it - I must have moved it into the file he has for important documents then ;) Anyway peace till Monday-he's been like a bear with a sore head as his girlfriend was away from Weds too.

think we'll have salad and frittata for tea,as I have loads of eggs, and its quick,so I can potter in the garden.I usually do my shop today too,but it seems a waste, may just go tomorrow. There is a new farmers market too,I missed the first one last month so would like to look round that.

RRuby-hope Dad is settled, and Mum enjoys the break.
JO- Happy Birthday to DG Henry.

Enjoy the weather folks, and slip, slap, slop on the sunscreen if you're out and about :)
