It's not stealing at all!! You paid the price tesco asked for at the till- you didn't stick them in your bag and run without paying! You gave them exactly what they asked for! I think your colleague needs to look up the definition of stealing! XxxPlease remember to thank fellow MSE'rs :beer:0

Yuh but my boss is telling me we are taking advantage of other people mistakes.
Somebody gonna get sack because of this glitch, and I shouldn't stoop so low as to that.
It is immoral , and I really do not want to be immoral and be a bad example to my child!
Can somebody give some strong point , I am kinda sway now0 -
really upset,r we all wrong?
Please don't get upset, they are just jealous! It's similar to when I tell people about glitches and they say I can't be bothered to do it. it's not worth the hassle! Whose the loser? them. That is just plain and simple jealousy, big hugs to you and give yourself a pat on the back for the bargains you are getting xxxBeware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
Just added up what full price of all my stuff would have been - £775.00!
Also paid with some DTD vouchers and Gift Cards ( dtd ones) so actually money spent only about £50.00. I have never had a proper set of pans or knives in my life. Thanks again Mr T0 -
Hi Can anyone offer any advice. My local store was showing the knives at prices from £2.10 - £4.10 I bought about 9 of them, and when they scanned they charged me between £10 and £16.80. i went straight to CS who only offered to refund my money, I queried the DTD offer on the board behind her and she said she was not able to authorise that amount of money. I h ave to see manager at 11 a.m. today, where do I stand?? Any help?
As someone said, call the CS phone number- there is a pre recorded part when you press the incorrect pricing option advertising DTDand tell them about it.
When you go in to see them, don't let them do anything but give DTD.
Lucky you! If everything was 20% of the origional price, but the price is now reduced by 20%, then DTD is gonna be 120% payment, so your £2.10 knife, which they charged you £8.40 for, they should pay you £6.30 after refunding the difference. Nice profit!!0 -
Tesco make £1 out of every £7 that is spent in this country. Tesco have a huge IT system and pay experts lots of money to get it right. Tesco made a mistake. Tesco sold a product to you and allowed you to pay for it at the price you paid. You did nothing wrong but saw an opportunity to get something at a great price. No-one will get sacked. Tesco had lots and lots of people coming into the store who wouldn't have otherwise who probably bought a couple of pints of their overpriced milk and some bread which cost them £0.05 to product and which they sell at £1.30.
Go and tell your colleague to boil her head!0 -
whitelabel wrote: »the FMC (File maintenance control) who are responsible for price integrity generally start at 6am where they arrive to the office to find a load of SELs that have printed overnight on request of headoffice to replace any mis priced ones. they can do some local pricing corrections too, well they could 10 years ago when i was in the job
one of my local stores where they are not so hot on thepricing had white sel's with the lower prices last night at 9ish, it was dead in there and no customers or staff obvioulsy realised the glitch. This threw me and I went to the local extra where they were busily swapping SELs over. I washoping to get DTD at the first store and was there 1st thing hoping they still hadn't changed the SEL's (they closed at 10pm) but SEL's were all miraculously changed at 8am. Do they have price fairies changing prices over during the night while the store is closed? Don't get it.loobylou232 wrote: »If the sel was displaying a cheap price, you are entitled to dtd. Ring CS before you go, get their go ahead, take a name and then meet manager.
My stores sels were never wrong, the items just scanned cheap.
MY lessons learnt from this whole saga
1. check grabbit board everyday without fail,
2. check grabbit board several times a day
3. check all threads again even ones where you think the glitch has finished (gardening one hasn't in some areas)
4. get a baby sitter whatever the time, drop everything and GO GO GO!
5.Don't leave it to the morning:(
6. remember to take a mobile phone and once glitch confirmed in your store ring every friend relative neighbour you can think of!:A:A
7. grab as much as you can as quickly a syou can-doesn't matter how stupid you look , don't think i'll go back later-may have been fixed by then.;)
8. Check photos on other threads like HUKD:D may inspire you to be braver and get more than you would have done otherwise
9. Pray that the tesco glitch fairy spreads her fairy dust again on us again tomorrow :T:T:T
ps oh yes extra point take iphone to store and check thread while instore for updatesGRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
