Hi Rdchick
Just popped in to say well done on taking those first steps and feeling you have more control. I'd also like to thank you for inspiring the rest of us. I don't think it matters if you have been chugging along with your DMP (4 1/2 years now for me) or just started, we all need a bit of inspiration and motivation to keep us going. I've read a lot of your posts and you are always so encouraging and positive :T

Aww thanks guys
I just think that here we all are - all in the same boat - whether we've just started or have been on a long journey already - we all want to be debt free and stress free too - and the only way we get there is by encouraging and motivating each other to push on. It's hard and it's horrible but I have learnt so much already about myself and about money - hey I've even thought about becoming a financial advisor as I like to reassure people that it's gonna be fine now that we have done the hard bit - admitted we have been naughty or things haven't gone the way we hoped but now that we are doing something about it things are only going to get better in the long run
Loves ya all lots - without your help I'd still be sat worried sick about money - but at the end of the day it is only money xxxLife is too short not to love what you do.0 -
There is no given time line with credit reference updates. I guess everything Credit History related takes time and a delay of a 1 month should have little effect. Also don't expect them to speed things up by updating your file as settled hence showing incorrect history. All months will be accounted for, just slightly delayed. My theory to why Mobile Phone Operators seem to wait a while longer before updating your credit history is maybe due to them having no payment due date, allowing you more time to pay a bill before they mark it as unpaid. I have paid bills up to 3 weeks after they were created and not been marked as missed. I think I missed bill is only accounted for after a month has passed and a new bill is created.0
