Sparkley I think I'm going to up my game and try and shrink my waistline as well as my debt :)

Well payday today from my second job, doesn't appear I have been taxed... Bit worrying, I'll wait for my payslip!

Gonna try and get some fruit and stuff today, parkrun tomorrow and perhaps actually go to that damn gym I am paying through the teeth for, especially if it's a nice day, the pool will be like being on hols! Haha cheap thrills!

Thanks again for all your support

    Love and hugs

    Stephie xxx

My gorgeous godson has duchenne muscular dystrophy and it breaks my heart every day... His uncle and a very good friend of mine died of dmd when we was just 19, so it's very close to my heart...

Www.justgiving.com/stephbrazierduchenne is where I'm at so far raising money for it, raised the same for Parkinsons too which is also a raw charity for me as my amazing grandad who lived with my parents passed away last year after a long struggle with Parkinsons and Cancer bless him, so thought I needed to do something about it, plus it would have been his 82nd birthday on the day of the race...

Anyway back to debt fighting, I can safely say I have slept like a log this month knowing that everyone has been paid and I am in full control and my gaw it feels AMAZING!

What a difference a month makes aye?!

Slightly giddy that the thread was picked up in the email sent out today!! Feel a little bit proud, however don't think by miles that my story is any different from any other debt free wannabe, we have a common goal and together we'll get there :)xxx

  • I had been contemplating a DMP several times. Each time I got the papers, it just didn't feel right for both parties, me and the creditors. Been rockbottom myself and now on course to end the year debt free.. It feels good. Feels like a life lesson tbh. Nearly all creditors at some point threatened court action, had a few door visits as well. Now I have the many small debts that gathered after redundancy knocked out, a active credit card paid off, another active credit card that will be slashed by a third this month, and then what is left is 2 giants which will be knocked down in no time.

I think by doing it myself and not going to CCCS or Payplan I have made my own journey and haven't clogged up their time with my small and manageable debt.

I think the work that CCCS and Payplan do is brilliant, especially when people feel there is no way out... I have filled out that CCCS form so many times but always got to the point where I think no... there must be some other way - often burying my head in the sand.. however this month I have paid everyone what they're expecting and with that knowledge I know I can live this month with what I have, no one is coming knocking :)

rdchick - being a month or two behind you on the LBM I'd just like to say Thank You!

Things are only just getting started for me as sent my pack off yesterday but every single second spent worrying about it is made better just from reading your posts and replies.

You have been nothing short of an inspiration!

Aww that is very kind - just think I've come to the point now where I am excited about the future - I am young (22) and I have met the man of my dreams and because of that I want to make life as perfect as possible and you can't do that with debt around your neck :)

You've done super good making the first move and sending the forms off - it's a very brave thing to do and now things will get better - you have made the jump! Weee! :T
