Just wish my credit file would update - makes me sad to see something 'in arrears' which has been settled nearly a month ago :'(

Wont be long. I am currently using Equifax and although Barclaycard is more or less up to date, some other companies lag by around a month or 2 behind.
  • It feels wonderful not having to fear a knock on the door, but man I now go weeks without mail, I used to get 3 or 4 letters shoved through the letter box everyday. Never been so glad to see the mailing stopped. All creditors are happy with the progress. Nice the silence, no phone calls, no mailing all parties are happy.

It does feel amazing that every call you get and every letter that lands on your mat is nothing to fear - so far this month I've had a bank statement, loan statement and a store card letter saying thanks for paying and we have now closed your account as instructed. :j

Also keep getting calls about reclaiming PPI - I'm pretty sure I don't have any PPI so just ignoring it :D

I'm also with Equifax and they updated on the 12th last month so I'm hoping it'll be today or Monday they update it - that'll be nice! xxx

Still no update on Equifax, going to call o2 in the morning and see what they can do!

I have made a turning point today and decided that today's eBay winnings will be going straight onto my credit card, normally i'd be like ooh free money but not this time!!

Yep it is but now wrestling with my credit file as there is false info on there like a late payment a month after the account was paid in full and closed in May - unless I'm missing something surely that's not right!!

Best looking at your records. Like I say credit file information can be more than a month behind. An example being my Orange account. 3 months in arrears, then I paid all 3 months off in one payment and that was 4 weeks ago, payment made today for last month, credit file updated last week to show that account is now 3 months in arrears. The information is not wrong the History is right but its behind by 2 months. It will not be until July that my reference shows Orange back in the green from the month of May. Have a look at when the account first opened, and see if there was a delay between opening the account and the first update to the credit file. My Orange account opened June 10 by July 10 they had registered with my credit file with no update and was not until August 10 that they started to record the history of the account = 2 months behind. Hope this helps.

Seems a little unfair though - as then it will take longer to drop off (by a month!) I have emailed them anyway so we shall see what they say :(
