Fluffnutter - can't believe you went on to eat the sweets! _pale_

I don't like people putting their feet on the seats either, especially when they are on the back of my seat.

I've never noticed people using phones tbh.

Last time we went, there was a lot of little children squealing and running about the place.

At one point, dd and I had an empty coke can whistle past our heads, but there were so many messing about, I couldn't work out who to tell off!

I find people respond if you turn and stare at them for a moment! If not, go and tell a worker and they will warn them - or they do at Vue. If you have to get up more than once, mention it at the end, and you will sometimes get a free ticket.

The worst we've had was a group of adults with learning disabilities behind us. One of them sat shouting and shaking my chair, and another was leaning over my OH and dribbling!!! I turned to tell the (young) carer but he refused to make eye contact with me, so I asked another carer who was sat in front of us with some more of the group. She soon sorted it out.

At another cinema, they had a large group of college kids in and the staff told us to come and get them if they were rowdy and they'd deal with it. They were ok in the end - didn't bother us at all. There was an usher in there nearly the whole time, but we overheard a couple moaning about the noise on the way out - why they didn't say anything at the time, I don't know!

I guess some people don't go to watch the film...

The other thing that bugs me is people who leave their rubbish on the seats even though they place a very large bin on the way out!! Lazy toads!!

I hate it more when people leave sweets/food in the cup holders - I use to work in a cinema and that was the worst cause you had to use your hands. If it was on the seat or the floor I'd use the brush!

I am one for putting feet on back of seats if no one's sitting in or near the seat in front. It's because I have small legs, and can only just touch the floor in the seats! So it gets very uncomfortable if I don't put my feet up!

My cinema annoyance is people sitting in the wrong starts, then some late comers in trying to kick them out of their seats just as the film starts! You chose your seat so sit in it!!! I had to kick people out of seats recently when I went cinema with 10 other people, we had almost the entire row in the middle.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I think Im getting to be a grumpy old woman, have over the past couple of years told a load of teenagers to 'shut the f*ck up...!' Cue mortified hubby and daughter sliding down the seats lol Have also told people off for kicking my seat, talking and even told off my best friend for sitting her child on her lap and letting him kick the seat in front and ignoring the glares from the guy sitting there! Sometimes I do think I should just wait for the DVD....

I've told people to shut up in the cinema before, mostly because I worked in one, so have more confidence in telling people to shut up! Also if anything wrong's with the projector, my local Vue is terrible sometimes, once they didn't focus the screen so I had to tell them to do it!

It seems the answer to all these problems is to go to the Austin Alamo Drafthouse.

You see these thickos all the time, I always just hope the previous person with feet on seats has stood in some dog crap, and it covers their clothes!!

or they had a verruca lol

even people that put their feet on the back of seats annoy me cos no matter how still they try to sit they will always end up kicking the seat

even more annoying though - last week i went to see thor and there was a couple there with a 6ish year old boy (too young surely) and a little toddler in a pushchair who whined and ran about all through the film!!
what i dont understand is that there was 2 adults with them. if the little boy really wanted to see it he could of gone with one while the other looked after the little toddler elsewhere

to avoid teenagers i never go to see a film within the 1st 2 weeks of its release if possible. the screens are usually quieter if it has been out a while

What is it with cinemas and kids' films? Are these the only films that make money nowadays?

Rainy day here on the south coast, and really fancied a sunday afternoon in the flicks - of the 9 films at my local cinema only 1 could be deemed interesting to adults. And I don't want to see that! The rest are Kids' Stupid Panda 2D, Kids' Stupid Panda 3D, Kids' Stupid Panda 4D, and some Ice Age rip off thing, Rio. And that awful Pirates of Penzance franchise No. 25.

Where are the decent films for grown ups??
