    Hi folks,

    .

After my girlfriend lost her job we managed to get by until just after xmas without my partner having to claim benefits but after xmas it got difficult and since then she has been claiming contribution based job seekers allowance however, this is due to run out shortly as she has reached the maximum number of days where she can claim and has basically been told by the Job Centre that she will have to live off my income, great!!

Why is it that people who sponge off the social and who have never worked a day in their life get everything paid for them including rent, council tax etc and those who pay into the National Insurance pot get basically get almost nothing.

Does anybody know of any other benefits that's we would be entitled to?? We get child tax credit £10.55 per week and family allowance, £80 4 weekly. We have a 5 year old daughter who is at school and rent privately at a cost of £650 per month.

You are moaning about your girlfriend having to "live off your income great" You do usually find that it is the ones in debt who moan the most and are the most bitter about it when it comes to supporting their familes, for a while when a partner loses their job which is after all WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO.
    A. God help your girlfriend if she ever gets ill.
B Im willing to bet that if the boot was on the other foot and YOU were the one who had just lost your job, you wouldnt like her showing you the same attitude. Bet you would be singing from a different hymn sheet then.
C I bet if YOU were the one who had lost your job she would also as the only earner be helping you pay off that bank loan.
YOU were the one who took out the loan. Stop blaming her now that shes hit hard times. Take responsibility for your own actions.
