    Hya all...and goodbye all!

Been pretty busy over the weekend, so no time to stop by...not really got time here, but had to pop on and see you all for a wee bit.

Off on hols tomorrow...we'll be in Pippi-land this time next week...soooo excited!! :j:j

Did your little parcel reach you Pippi? Meant to send it earlier, just to say "well done". Going to sort out boxes tonight and pack up the stripey shop..it's in shopping bags and my orange trolley atm :rotfl:

I didn't get the shop job :(, but I may well have landed another job instead :)!!!

It is doing IT work for a crafting business, what fun!! I met the owner at my quilting club's quilt exhibition yesterday, and after talking for a bit, she offered me a job there and then! She has been looking for someone for a while and decided I was perfect for the job. She has all my details, and will be in touch when I get back...really quite excited about it all. It's only 1 day a week, and the business is 25 miles away . But after a few initial sessions, I will be able to work mainly from home. Also, she says there will be the possibility of selling stuff I make in her shop and perhaps teaching some of the workshops that are her at the business too. Ofcourse, I will probably be investigating the courses anyway to learn more crafting skills.

I don't think I could have dreamt a better job (except maybe 2 days a week work...but you never know!). I do hope she was serious about the offer, I have had an email from her thanking me and saying we should get in touch when I get back...so it looks like she does mean it!!

Now, must stop and get the last bit of gardening done before ironing and packing tonight. I'm not taking my laptop with me, so will not be back here for nearly 3 weeks :eek:

Have a wonderful time, and see you in August!:wave:(or in the case of Pippi...next Monday! :rotfl:).

That's the watering done, and last few flowers potted up. They were due to go to lil'sis, but never got there, so squeezed all her veg and flowers into all sorts of nooks and crannies about the garden :).

We're taking our car up to Orkney too, and have a few friends and family to visit, so we shouldn't be imposing on Pippi too much!

Right, "just" a couple of pairs of trousers'; hems to take up (should have done this last week :o), then take over the ironing fom H, he is doing a sterling job!!

    Night, night...and au revoir!!!

When I was upset or disappointed that things didn't go my way my Mum always used to say that these things happen for a reason. At the time I wanted to scream and shout that it wasn't fair. But you know, so often she was right. Just around the corner was a better opportunity waiting for me.

Looks like that is what has happened to you Keiss, well done you :T:T:T

I am hoping to take advantage of an opportunity that has come my way for a new job. Going to talk to them again next week to convince them why they should employ me and pay me more than they had planned. If I can do this it will still be a significant drop for me (scary but manageable) and will mean that I walk out of one job at the end of September and in to another one in October with my redundancy pay intact.

And don't feel bad for invading Pippi land - she needs to be kept busy so she doesn't miss the little/big people too much and she deserves some fun and I know you two will help her with that :rotfl: Very jealous if I am honest, never quite got that far north :( But it does look as though I will get as far as Glasgow in August now :j That makes my heart sing :D
