Pippi great news on the payments to the credit cards, that's fab.

Uni i think i need that operation if it puts you off chocolate, if i didn't eat that it would make my dieting that much easier.

Watched a couple of 'nice' movies recently if any one get the chance, Letters to Juliette and Tortilla Soup. They're the type which are easy to watch and make you smile. Always good things.

Hope you're enjoying your visitors i'll bet they're enjoying the food and company they have with you.

River cottage did a sponge cake made from potato if I remember rightly. I made it for my family when we were still living at my parents and told them there was a secret ingredient they had to guess. None of them guessed it wasn't proper sponge.

DD birthday today, got in a bit of a fankle last night about not talking to her (sometimes they don't *hear* the phone, and don't get messages) but ha ha! I phoned very early and caught her and sang happy birthday to her. IN reply she wished me a very happy un-birthday and sounds like she's having fun. :)

Starnac you are right, and I was extremely lucky to be treated to a birthday lunch (well, it was a special one) at the RC canteen in Axminster, not long after the 'leftovers' show had aired (when they'd come up with the idea for the sponge with 'that ingredient that shall remain unsaid'. That pud was on the menu, so I had it and it were fab! Actually, in RC's defense, they were (not sure if still so) very reasonably priced, with their menu being better value for money than restaurants (with aspirations) round here - plus, you're getting cooked for by someone 'off the telly' - Tim was in the kitchen the day we were there. Also, he said Hi to my DP when we went in there (only browsing in the shop this time I'm afraid :() t'other week on our hols. Nice chap. Oh, and 'Pam the Jam' was buying fruit and veg at the market stall - as it was market day - eeh the exciting celeb spotting existence I lead .........

Glad you got to sing HPBDay to The Cellist Pippi! Great news on the seeds/germination front - keep on keeping on!

    Greying

EDIT: forgot to add - Lemon Tree you are right about 'Letters to Juliet' being a good relaxing movie. Vanessa Redgrave quite good, but stunning italian scenery even if the script wasn't the most convincing. A good, easy watch though. And thanks for the other film title - I've not seen that one - but googled it and I'd like to track it down - I'll start at the library - thanks for the reference!

wow greying what a celeb spotter you are. DH always gets (local) celebs at work. They even filmed the welsh weather there. He's terrible though. Whenever "someone" is going to be there I always sky+ the news/weather/sitcom and buy the paper to send it to his mum to show her how well her son is doing but he is NEVER in the shot. NEVER. he must hide or something. He's rubbish. I've told him now not to bother telling me when the new MP/AM is going there cos I'll save myself the bother of buying the paper :rotfl:

RC sounded ace Greying :) and whilst I don't know who half the folk are you've mentioned, it does sound like you had a good time and you're right, thank you LT for the movies I'll look them out :)

DD was indeed very impressed by my very untuneful (and bad piano accompaniment with one finger and not in tune) playing too :)

starnac you're hubby sounds like he's got a great idea by hiding!

Taking tiddler neice out later for a play whilst her parents go off and have some quality time, wonder what mischief we can get upto in a couple of hours :)

Not much update money going on - got £1 for eggs today - otherwise not much money moving about!
