Yeah, UNI well done on finding one that is nice - you can't beat that price can you, nor make it for that either normally.

Well done a bit reading on the web work, need focus more on that after lunch, was restless so went out to tunnel for an hour and lugged 5 huge wheelbarrows of soil into fishboxes, ready for planting later.

Already planted two with my own (sulking) courgettes, they don't like growing out here, i thought they didn't but a fellow island blogger said she'd given it a go and it worked for her, not for me it would seem. They will soon go bonkers :)

Brought in bagels for lunch and brekkie (10p bag)
Need go and get post from old house and see if OH tax disc there
Might go for a mooch around charity shops (not sure I'm in the mood)
Need get hair stuff - but I keep doing it work, hate the new hair cut so much its always tied up, must do something about that at some point I guess
Hen food to purchase and a rummage through their metal tubes
Must ring land lord, being so idiotic about it, he's agreed in principle ages ago, but I need to double check and tell him where I'm thinking and I'm being stupid about scary call.
Not much in the internal vacancies atm (office job at harbours? 21 hours week, 3 set days) might apply for that
Emailed web lady and asked how much I need to keep back for her.

Bit bleughish, no real reason, off for a scamp and to find my sense of humour!

    :)

Pippi - if you have a glut of courgettes you can always peel and grate and make cakes with them. The structure of the veg means that cakes are lovely and rich but can be pretty fat free.

I have recipes if you need them

Oh a recipe never goes amiss

I've almost the stuff for the elderflower cordial, I'm doing that later - thank you Squizz :)

great recipies Pippi, i will have to use some of them. I'm going to try and make a real effort to make different things as we always seem to have the same meals week in week out.
You've reminded me i need to go and check my courgettes over again to see if we can harvest any

Hello, that was me. I tend to keep this in the cupboard to add to things if i want a shortcut which recently has been a saviour (had an op recently so can't stand too long), when I have time i do make my own and put it all in the slow cooker. But at 18p a jar I can't argue with that as Aldi's is one of the nicest cheap pasta sauces i've tried.

Hi, hope you don't think I was being critical; I've just never found a pasta sauce I could get on with. And for me, we haven't go an Aldi near enough to make it worth the effort.

NL - NO, NO, NO!!! Courgettes in cake is just SOOOOO wrong, its like putting carrots in a cake :p - I believe some people do that. Even M & S apparaently. I've never tried carrot cake because every single part of me rebels against the idea.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I know exactly what you mean but remember it's so much better when it's over with instead of being imminent and worried about :) (mini treat once you've done it?)

I love Carrot cake . Although I do agree in principle Carrot in cake???? same as cheese......cake. But I have to admit I love both.

Lol you made me laugh Pippi about swearing like a farmer. Never heard that one before. It's quite funny at work. One of our directors swears like a trooper unless she is REALLY angry! Then she doesn't swear at all. It's really strange to watch. But she always watches her language around me which makes me feel awkward. Just cos I don't swear doesn't mean she can't.

Sports day was ace today. DD nearly won the walking with a bean bag on your head race but she stopped cos she seen me stood at the finish line with the camera so she stopped to pose!!!! She still came second though as luckily she had a good lead :rotfl:

Even if it has vegetables in, or is a cheesecake which isn't really a cake or cheese.

    Lucielles cheesecake rocks :)
