Wow Pippi, beautiful pictures of the sunset.
I've just discovered that my peas growing in Mr M's tubs have started to get pea pods. Yippee!0 -
Gorgeous sunset. I do hope that it was a nice romantic evening with just you and Mr Stripes sitting on those cliffs, holding hands. Oh dear....... I have too romantic an imagination.
Hope you are having a great day off so far.
Not sure if you have heard but tonight the moon is supposed to be blood red. Not sure why but it is very cloudy here (and pouring with rain) so doubt I will get to see it.
eta. My avatar is a sunset over Cardiff Bay (taken an hour after my Mum died. Very special things sunsets)Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Cheri sunsets are amazing things - you never forget the really special ones. The timing of yours must have been quite soothig I would think?
My Avatar piccy is the sunset at Sidnish - North Uist. Was taken on the first night we arrived a few years ago - the same day we sat & watched otters playing in the Loch opposite the cottage for absolutely ages - it was a very special day!
Stripes thanks for sharing those pics with us - truly incredible colours there!
Greenval MrEH told me last night that one of our runner beanplants has flowers on it - they aren't that big yet so he was quite surprised I think!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

thanks for the advice about ebay KC i will look into it.
Wow fab sunset Pippi and thanks to cheri for the moon info. might have to get DH to get his telescope down.
I think the advice on here about taking a day off and working out how much you need is all fab and i can't add to it.
Been pottering around today. got a day off but worked really late last night so didn't want to do too much so just been doing some tidying and cleaning in the house. my auntie is coming over later to do DD's hair. for the wedding next week I thought it would be nice if DD had her hair up for a change and she's just decided she loves me plaiting her hair. so i asked my auntie if she would do a french plait for her as i can't do them and she agreed. so she's coming over tonight for a trial run. DD is so excited. can't believe this is the same child who a couple of months ago used to run away screaming whenever we got the hairbrush out!!
and all it's costing is a cup of tea and some biscuitsGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

*runs in*
moon is red tonight due to lunar eclipse. Round about 9.10pm. South of England with best view though it is supposed to be cloudy so you may not see it. North Scotland and North Ireland will miss it as the moon will rise there after the eclipse.

I didn't know about the moon either, I'll look out for that.
I ate some raspberries from my own garden last night! The plant hasn't been fed or looked after at all, apart from me hacking off a bit of it when I first moved in ... if I feed it and what not this year, it should be wonderful. And I think there's two plants - there's one trying to climb up the buddleia
Fantastic! about the moon, thanks Starnac.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Yay starnac to the hair doos and stuff
Thank you about the moon advice
KC well done on the rasps
I've just mowed the grass, cleared the septic tank (yuk), moved 4 wheelbarrows of mud and weeded 5m of hedge
I'm in for a cuppa
starnac good news on the rate eh? I'm really chuffed - didn't know if I'd be paid at all for it so glad its turned upI know how much now to put into my monthly pot from teaching
off to catch up with you all
In town bought some pasta flour (how decadent!) for dd
A bone for peedie
A tub of picked crab meat for OH
A yankee candle for me (very decadent)
two bits of reduced local meat and 10 cabbage plants (I know I have these at work but they are different and I'm trying to grow a few different typesand they were only £1 for 10
I've got onions in the flower bed but I need to keep moving the soil to get that bed sorted.peedie however is currently eating his bone in the veg bed?
I've been thinking about the non-essential treats I like walking, but I already budget for 200 a month petrol - so thats taken care of
Two cinema trips a month = 2 x 20 (if we all go)
A couple takeaways or meals out - 2 x 30-40
charity shop once a week 4 x £5-10
A cuppa out couple times a month 2 x £5
so far - £170
Need to think about what else to put on there - been so long since we've been decadent its hard to remember! well, its not been that long!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Wow. You're really going to go for it with the treats budget! Good for you - I admire that. I spent *lots* on the wedding, and I'm still catching up from that, and maybe my monthly "cash" budget has treats money in it. I suppose it does, actually
I just can't do a budget where I put down everything - I mean, how often do I buy a bottle of tippex? But its £2. That sort of thing, they just add up. Treats. Passing through London Victoria on Sunday, I bought some chocolate mini rolls for 99p - from M&S
