it's my sister's favourite as well, in fact when she was carrying her 4 she craved it with gravy and cabbage! but she also likes her veggies all slushy (how my mum cooks hers) whereas i do mine crunchy, or raw as they tell me
actually just remembered she was quite evil whilst her kids were babies, always made sure that when i was feeding them it was something with potato in, and whereas most people open their mouth when they feed babies (be honest we all do it) there was me trying not to throw up.

veg has to be crunchy. i hate soggy veg. in our house when dishing up the veg goes on my plate first then everything else but DH and DD's veg stay cooking and then they'll go on their plate just before serving as they like theirs soggyGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

I need add up what work I've done so far this month - and then focus on making ME time when I relax a bit. If I don't reel myself back a bit I think my weeks will turn into jam packed nightmares.
Whats the point of being here if I can't enjoy it? I'm getting exhausted, as you all predicted. Its prompted by panic at getting *any* work to sustain us - but I need work out how much we need to make and then relax once over a certain amount
I can't fathom what that might be?
£250-500 a month would see us fine I think - but dunno really what target to set.
Any idea how to work it out - right now we've enough to pay all the bills but no extra. But I dunno how much extra would be a good figure - lol I'd never make a millionaire will I?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

How about adding up the cost of a few ice creams, a couple of trips to a cafe for lunch, petrol for say 100 miles of driving round in circles cheeriness, plus enough to save up say £1000 over a year for unexpected trips to mainland/boiler disasters or whatever?
No idea what that would add up to, but might give you a start!0 -
Hya Pippi - busy as usual today I see! You are right about making time for yourself to relax and recover from all your whizzing about, or you will burn out pdq.
Not long home from having had a body massage at college (exam time for the students, so willing to be a guinea-pig...for free!). Shattered now, need to have a lie down for an hour or two.... but need to finish my ITQ as well ...couldn't think straight atm though! Will head into college later this afternoon/evening.
I like cheery's idea about working out how to work out how much money would be "enough" to have a balanced life-style. Might have a go and apply it to my circumstances - could be scary though!
Right off to have a doze...really tired, must be the effect of losing all those toxins in my body!! :rotfl:
Enjoy the rest of the day.

Like Cheery's ideas.
OK, what is the "sustainable fund" covering. That should be your starting point. For instance does this include food or is that already covered in your other budgets?
If your sustainable fund is for living a fairly comfortable and happy life then I agree with Cheery you need to work out what you consider will make you happy and comfortable (we all have different comforts).
I would start by having a think about what you have been spending your "for fun" money on recently and then take it from there.
Dont forget things like music lessons, but also dont forget that the mini adults will be able to help out by doing odd jobs etc if needs be.
Hark at me who has just spent an hour in a panic when I realised that I had forgotten to pay something. Oh dear slippery slope and all thatSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Oh now you lot are clever!
My 1030 covers everything from food to petrol and saving for ds but NO treats at all.
Hmm need to think about this!
Pencil and paper here I come
Keiss well done on a bit of relaxing! Cheri - thank you that makes alot of sense
Good old clever cheery too

I think we can officially say that Cheery is a genius
And Pippi, please please take some me time really soon - burning out won't help anyone, and in fact will cause more problems, you *know* it will
Starnac - for that wedding I went to in April, I bought a fascinator on ebay, for £5, and the equivalent kind of thing was going for £20 in ordinary shops, let alone JL or places like that.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
