Have a look at the better deal for going to inverness on Monday after flight gets in dunno if there is a bus or not - if not a car hire is maybe less than a taxi?
Think about what to do with the remenants oif 26 cabbages which are in various states of manglation in the garden after/due to the gales which are *sigh* on going
:THC about to go on later but might leave it til the cheap leccy
Invoice to print for garden lady (4 hours) - can hand that in if I go in today:D
Have a lovely shower and sparkle a bit and maybe wrap up warm!

Uni organising is going as follows for move:
Mrs LT - sorts out kitchen and gives two boxes/bags to charity of much loved but not often used things including cups
Mr LT - buys two new cups last night because we can have nice drinks in them (we still have cups in the house just less) and proposes that we buy some more like them.
Mrs LT - silently fumes in the corner and suggests that we don't actually buy any more until AFTER we've moved!
Mr LT - looks like he's been slapped by a smoked kipper and been thoroughly rejected and unappreciated by Mrs LT.

we could be in for a 'long' organisation/moving process.

Oh dear indeed LT, this sounds just like the sort of conversation I have with my OH...... Unless he is in a decluttering mood in which case he throws out half the house :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

KC - my copy of HP came today!!

Going to squirrel it away for Xmas..heading for Fife this year it seems!

My you are busy Pippi...are you wind-driven?? At least there is no shortage of that in the Isles, hope it calms down for you soon!! Glad to see you are managing to get out and about, cinema and tea out, how lovely!!

Feeling much better these days, thank goodness. I am managing to take things easy, but still getting things done, if that makes sense!! I started driving yesterday and visited a friend who can't drive (she gave me a pamper "Get well soon" pack...lots of creams and lotions for hands and feet, very nice of her. :)

Picked DS up from college today, then popped into our local garden centre on the way home. Got 4 plant pot holders and a new watering-can to go in the conservatory (matching the new decor...how posh!!). Also got a poinsettia, locally grown and pretty reasonably priced. I had a rewards voucher as well as a gardening voucher, so it all cost less than £5! :j It was so nice to be able to get out and about under my own steam and actually be well enough to enjoy the experience :D.

Managed to make a couple of lavender bags yesterday...looking really pretty. Only have one lavender plant here, so bought in some. Got local cotswold lavender from Snowshill, and it's so lovely!! Mind you, it can be quite powerful in bulk!!!

Off to make a few more bags, as well as having a go at making some fabric bowls...busy busy, but relaxing busy...honest, especially with all this lavender about!!! :rotfl:

Ooh, just had a delivery from Parkers....12 Munstead Lavender plants (will have my own flowers next year now!), 3 Cirsium Rivulare crowns and a couple of Amelanchier trees. I had actually forgotten I'd ordered the lavender and the Cirsium, so what a pleasant surprise!!
    :j:j:j

Mmm, probably need to get back to the garden centre and buy some compost, running very low atm, need to tooddle down to the greenhouse and check supplies. Have the trees in a bucket of water already to get a nice big drink, will leave them there overnight. Need to keep in them indoors tonight as they are forecasting a frost here!

Right, now need to do some unexpected gardening/potting up, what fun!!

Will pop back tomorrow sometime, invigilating this evening 5:30 to 8:30, then tomorrow morning 9:30 to 12:00. Nothing then until next Wednesday, and that's all my invigilating until January.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone...house movers included! Moved here nearly 16 years ago, and there are still boxes in the loft waiting to be unpacked! :o

Keiss, thats good news! Although I only ordered it yesterday, I got an email yesterday afternoon confirming they'd posted it, so I'm really hoping it arrives *tomorrow*. You sound much more chipper, good to hear.

Pippi, your plans are really forging ahead, good for you.

Poor old LT household! :rotfl: Sounds like the kind of thing that'd happen here. Deep breaths, repeat after me 'they're only mugs, they're only mugs...' Good luck! :)

Good job today Pippi! :T :T Hope you're enjoying tea and haven't blown away :D

But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

    Yup..here too :rotfl:

Pippi - Lucifer is on his way!!! Hope he doesn't get frostbite! :D

Back home after invigilating and then wandering off to Mr T (24 hours). It's sooo nice to be able to go and do things when I want!!

I need to get to bed soon as invigilating tomorrow morning too. Beginning to feel "normal" again...whatever that is! :rotfl:

Getting chilly here tonight, they are forecasting frost...4 degrees and dropping outside.

See you all tomorrow, hope Mr LT behaves himself for the rest of the move preparations, well, at least give you less cause to get grumpy LT! :)

Poor you LT, mugs seem to multiply in my house and I don't drink tea or coffee! They must have fun playing with the stray socks or something....

The thinking about how little space I'll have initially in the new kitchen and house in general - I'm losing a bedroom so that's a definite loss of space, is making me think about taking stuff up to my parents that I don't use much to store then until I make the space again......then I got to thinking, well if I don't use it much, do I need it at all?!?! I know what I'm like in major declutter mood though, I tend to take things out and a week or so later, find I did have a need for them after all!

OH's brother in law went and did a quick survey of the outside of the dream house yesterday and said that it's a good buy (he's a chartered surveyor not some random chappie), so after a big panic yesterday about the foolishness of moving, cost etc etc, I'm feeling more relieved and excited again. I need to do loads of paperwork for the financial chap now, yawn.....
