  • Ah red, wind means no tv, I'm so bummed I wanted to see it and it takes so long to download anything (1hr prog-8-9hours) I probably won't see it. Rats.

    Windy bindy here.

Slept in abit - cuppa and think of day ahead. Making a list.

Snp big conference in Inverness yesterday, lots of chat on the radio about the economics of independence. Quite interesting, I'm not sure what my opinion is. Which I find odd, I think I'm confused where that leaves us from a monetary and practical sense, would our money change etc?

Can we make it on our own? DunnO, probably? I'm Scottish, but lived abroad and throughout the uk, maybe I'm just not very Scottish, although I speak Scottish in my head! (not out loud, often, my accents all wrong!

If it was Wales wanting indpendence, I'd be right behind them, a wee country wanting to go it alone. Maybe that's cos it doesn't affect me. Or maybe it's cos here, Scotland is talked about like a different country!

Ah, now if this island was independent, (which it feels) I'd quite like that.

Aw that's a real shame about the TV, good programme, he also picked and ate nuts from a monkey puzzle tree!

We were chatting at home yesterday about Scottish independence too... I'm not sure where I stand either, need to find some info about what it actually means for various things. I particularly wonder about stuff like national insurance that we've paid to a UK government for years, what happens with that? What about ex-pats like me, do I suddenly become a foreigner in England? :rotfl:

I never thought about that! I always backed Wales getting their own Assembly and more powers etc but full independence has never really been a viable option i don't think so it's never occured to me what it would actually mean. I wonder if DH (English) would need a visa to live here if that happened :rotfl:??

Scotland would still be a member of the EU? Maybe ... interesting about the National Insurance! I think what I resent at the moment is that Scottish Assembly MPs have powers in Scotland, but still get to vote on the same issues for the English in England - I don't like that! Doesn't work for me at all ... mind you, I'd also like to know how many headquarters the EU Commission has, does it still do that journey around 3 headquarters? If it does, I think its time we knocked that on the head.

Anyway ... your list looks good, Pippi! Glass paints sound very exotic.

Morning all...or has it sneeked into afternoon now?

Asthma still not great, though I had a great sleep last night. Very curious as I usually have a rubbish night's sleep and have to head to my chair downstairs when the asthma flares up.

Going to do very little today, having cancelled my meeting with my IT client 25 miles away. Was out of breath driving the couple of miles to take my son to the docs this morning!!

Still not got the heavy rain that was forecast yesterday, infact the MET Office reckons we won't get rain here until Wednesday now! So have a washing on, the strong wind will dry it in no time!! Will have to get DS2 to do it, as hanging up the washing could be quite a challenge for me today! :(

Right off to start an online food order...usually do one once a month, but haven't for a bit. The asthma is a good excuse to get one organized.

Have a good day all x

Keiss, you poor thing! Hope you feel better soon, for your breathing to be disrupted is really horrible.

Hmmm, I think my thinking is along the same lines as KC's.

As a child of scottish parents, but born in N Ireland, I wonder where independence would leave me. I am so proud of my scottish heritage and would be devastated if they made me get a visa to visit :(

Keiss - Really hope your breathing is under control very quickly, asthma can be miserable :(

Pippi - You haven't mentioned the cold that wasn't, has it gone? I have my fingers crossed that you hear soon about the job :D
