Yesterday - 4 hours paid work (yippee - hours saved from another time and added on!)
Went to see a garden job - going to start doing 1 hour a week for them and see how we go - they need the garden tidied up a bit but not hugely once its all sorted
Reduced shopping on way home netted 5 x25p 2ltr milk, a huge 3 carrier bags of different veggies - reduced cheese and a few other delights! Yippee that will help out - there was loads there too so I only took a bit
Prepped floor and stairs and managed to get a first coat on half of them or maybe a bit more.
Today
Did 15 mins tidying up
Bank to check
Working (paid) for 4 hours this am
Meeting this afternoon for the recylcing charity

Recycling in the car - didn't get to go yesterday finished too late
Flower seeds into work - the guy and I were talking and we might have a cunning plan afoottell all when I know more - it involves growing flowers locally for cut-flowers
maybe
HM lunch leftovers with me
Check petrol
Dinner from fridge - eat at table - we need to get better at that now things are normal (ish)
Get spare room ready for OH mum coming for 2 weeks
Plan more of freegallybeegly holiday (we've beds sorted - now for some activities) see what we can plan on the tinternet. Hoping the only real cost is petrol and a few adventures
Aunty Wik - get the kettle on
Wave and dash - sorry - early startHUG!!
Thank you all for yesterday - putting it out there has helped so much to make me think about how I can't do it all at once - but I do thank youTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Morning peeps!
I woke up at 5-30 too and couldn't get back to sleep due to panicky thoughts so not feeling too on top of things today
Forecast is for rain but not started yet, so after coffee I'm going out to plant out some French beans that are desperate to move to larger accomodation. Then into town to see a solicitor and see if she can shed any light on all the complicated stuf you have to deal with after someone has died - just when you really don't need all that.
Hope you all have a good day; well done on the plant sales Keiss and the food bargains Pippi!0 -
Pah! After my initial visit I obviously forgot to subscribe - I did think it was rather unusually quiet on the stripey front! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Still, I'm here now
Hooray for finishing thesis - but I know just how scary it is to be confronted with the rest of your life ("d spent SO many years thinking 'the only thing wrong with my life is this damn PhD!' then it ended, and I realised, er, that there were other things too...)
I too am on a cleaning missionI'm going with Flylady - completely twee but it's worked in the past and it's working now! :T She has a podcast that I listen to - whizz round the whole house in an hour with her talking in my ear :rotfl: that keeps everything ticking over nicely, then concentrate on one room a week and do 15 minutes of decluttering/tidying in there. And I try to keep the sink clear of dishes. That's all I'm doing for now - will build up as I go along but enough for now - house is already looking better! :T :T
As for being a bit podgy - pah, me tooAll that sitting on front of computer screens and eating too much out of despair! :rotfl: :rotfl: I've got a couple of stone to lose
hence being back at Slimming World... yes I could probably do it myself, but history shows I probably won't!
Feel much better now I'm taking a bit of control though :T
LOVE it that Darwin's got starlings nesting in his engine! :j :j :j
Bleurgh to garden, but you'll have that polytunnel up there soon girl! :T :T
(I'm busy despairing at my garden too, but I *think* (hope) we're on the case now! :T :T
Best crack on with some work, you take care of yourself! xx0 -
Pippi - I had a suggestion to make but I have completely forgotten it now! It was in response to a post a couple of pages back... my how one loses touch over just a few days! Anyway hope today goes well and I shall endeavour to remember what it was I thought of! Back to the books now though....“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Lotti I do that all the time! Goodluck with the books though.....we feel your pain. (())
Now I'm going to work backward and catch up!!!
Main things acheived today -
Worked 3 1/2 hours paid (ca £30 ish)
Claimed for 8 hort hours and 31 invigilating hours for the last time! Yippee that will help
Been told to make a plan for a polytunnel at work
sold 1 doz eggs (£2)
Forgot to go to recylcing place doh!
Wrote out a plan for the holiday - cost so far £250 ish petrol (1200 mile round trip) + £100 ferries - (none of which I have of course!)
Walked el mutto at work (free)
Took in lunch which was NOT good. Thankfully had a yoghurt there
Worked out how to use diary on ipad - might need to recycle a book for a diary for this year but I've at least a virtual one
Talked to garden chappy - think I'm doing veggie course on my own this year
Troglodyte - (()) I hope you're OK - nice to think of the beans moving into new accomodationTake it easy girl we're all lurking for some support if you need it - not nice to have to deal with all that stuff when you're fragile so anohter (())
Cheery -hello! I know that mantra - my life will be beter when the phd gone/thinner/new location/different clothes etc - need to attack it full on - doing 15 mins a day is great I'll give fly lady a listen - see if we bond
Darwin is very naughty - he knew we'd planned to go to aunty C for a holiday.......!!
Wik given how naughty he is thats not a bad plan - bad darwin.
Greying - thank you for the lovely words - you're very kind - I'm going to PM you in a bitdid laugh at you going for muck rather than cleaning
eek to the fibreglassdust and mess! Poor you - I hope you get it sorted.
LT I hope your dad is bit brighter today? I love the timer idea - I think we were better when we HAD to be tidy due to the lodgers and um, that and we had a cleaner - doh - I'm out of the habit of actually doing anything - I need to be better.
Cheri - Good on you for the hair dooCamera would break if it had to take pics of me - thats why I always do a silly pose or wear a hat - to confuse the poor camera
GV (()) I have been mantra-ing too - poor you wish I was nearer so I could help drive you about
Gilliganislenice to see you
poor you being talked about as her very YOUNGER sister! Quiet moi? Never!
Glad you've found us again
whats happenning in your garden?
Wik - we're all a bit at sixes and sevens aren't we - think I've finally time to take stock and go - oh no what a year.
EH - Murray Walker was a star wasn't he! Collapsing in a heap not great for anyone - I'll take Dr EH's orders - when invigilating (and therefore being productive) I'll read my book for fun and not frantically try to solve all my problems on paperI'm enough of a heap without falling into another one.
TODAY - I was talking about this brilliant fruit which I'm growing in a pot at home and he needed to try it - getting a few quizzical looks from the chap I work with - of course I was talking about Physalis - Cape Gooseberry - what I was telling him it was called 'syphallis' - not something to grow on a windowsill :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
all that latin name horticultural training - bah!
Off to check bank!
Money update
44.76 left in (OD) the fat controller (Rbs)
17.00 left in (OD) smurfette (Lloyds)
Not broke yet then - no pads atm - too scary near OD limit (1000) make a day or two when wtfc goes in.
*sigh* hope the teaching money comes in on Wed - could do with putting a bigger chunk to cards keep up morale.
Hey ho we'll not starve and we made £2 cash today and work money (£2.32 in kitchen pot)
AND I've not put gamerboys money into bank yet - so will put that straight to CC tomorrowTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS!
It was about yoga. I was going to say, there are a couple of good video classes on youtube, this place called "Montezuma yoga" on yogayak's channel, which I am using (but haven't done since... well...) as I don't have access to a sensible class at the moment. Might be possible to alternate something like that with proper classes?“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”
