Just wish that was suggested to me in the branch.
Won't matter now, definately closing the account and taking my custom elsewhere.0 -

In all my years of internet banking with YB, I've never had so much as a glitch with my transactions. They even update the next days transactions at 23:00 hours the day before.
As a current account, it's fantastic. As for savings, well...they're elsewhere!0 -
It's more than "can't be bothered", I'm not happy with the service I recieve so I'm voting with my feet.
Any time I need to use the branch it's usually closed, opening hours are stupid. Interest rate is below most even for a current account, debit card is Maestro so no protection (unlike Visa's chargeback scheme).
I can't see the online banking service being SO good it'd make me stay with them. Perfectly happy with the services both Bank of Scotland and Nationwide provide.0 -

If Clydesdale Bank is anything like my Yorkshire Bank operation (should be - same company), then you're walking away from one of the best internet banking systems I know (and I use a few) - just because you "can't be bothered".
I too like the internet banking service that's provided by YB. Although recently a few glitches caused some amusement, but apart from that quite a good online service.Any time I need to use the branch it's usually closed, opening hours are stupid.
I certainly agree with this, they must be the worst bank in the country when it comes to opening hours and branch availability.0 -

Fair enough, I stand corrected!
However, as Kilty is based in Scotland, I wouldn't say HSBC is the best option...
Either a handful of branches in the whole country, or Indian callcentres for your trouble
I don't think Nationwide issue Bank Giro Credit payin books for their accounts, so that option is out of the window too...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Well in that case she should immediately withdraw her Nationwide savings as obviously they offer a crap service!!0
