  • Hurray since the prices of 2 items I checked were still reduced this morning on the website. I have pointed this out to Tesco and sent a screenshot so fingers crossed.

    That should be fine. :)

If this happens to me, I usually just ring them on the number given on the invoice. They tend to check the website there & then & refund me. Job done!

I had the Miracle Gro in my delivery today - they charged £20 instead of £5 as on the website yesterday but I called them and they refunded the £15 difference with no quibbling :j

Big intake of breathe...the website has been updated so no longer shows the discounted prices. I fear that phoning will get me nowhere. But an email with a full explanation may get a more considered response.

Ah, in that case a screenshot is the way to go.:D
    Good Luck.

I was tempted to get the car out at 1am this morning & make the 30 mile round trip to an Extra store..but everyone else was asleep & I didn't want to cause a panic if someone were to discover I'd gone....that & wondering if it would work for me & thinking I would look a fool in an empty store with a trolley full of goods I couldn't/wouldn't pay for at that ungodly hour...:rotfl:

Sad thing is, I bought a few of these items a couple of weeks ago...at full price.:( (Good news I suppose is that I did use a voucher towards the cost, heyho!)

Yes, I wondered about that too - going out in the midldle of the night I mean. [I finished my order at 1am online instead]. But when I have gone out, I've found the shelves empty and had to chase staff into the back to get items I wanted. You can bet that the shelves for gardening items would have been cleared already.
We [may be] missed nothing. But I wish I had seen all the bedding plants!
I phoned Tesco and no details were asked from me but instead the store is to phone me later. Sad thing is, I want to open the stock and use it as I am gardening this afternoon. I hope they don't ask for it all back!

Well i went in first and looked around. Found plenty of stuff on the shelves
I then stuck one of most things in a trolley and went to self service. First item i scanned was full price, so cancelled it. Member of staff comes over to authorise and i tell her i want to check all the prices (store has no price scanner.) She opens a till for me and scans everything through, all at the glitch price, without batting an eyelid.
I paid, put it inthe car, then went back in and cleared the shelves of stuff i wanted, paying at self service. Apparently you need authorisation to buy tomorite:rotfl:, so over she comes again and just lets me crack on

Went to another branch and loaded up. They had a security guard supervising the tills. He was watching me like a hawk as i put through about 14 tomorite and various other stuff. He then walks over and authoriss without question :j

    19x tomorite
    2x Toprose
    2x Pathclear gun
    1x Pathclear refill pack
    4x Tesco bug spray
    8x Phostrogen plant food
    4x Fish, blood and bone
    7x Growmore
    2x kneelers
    1x secateurs
    1x trowell
    1x rubble sacks
    £35 :money:
